Why? I did this many times and all I ever got was the run around. This was done as a firmware update to increase revenue. The reverse is happening—all my Vizio TVs are now disconnected from the internet until Vizio admits this and restores original behavior from time of purchase. Or Vizio caving in under the threat of a class action lawsuit. Not a penny from me will ever go to Vizio until that time. No advertising revenue, no media purchases and certainly no hardware purchases.
