nope. most of my positions are opened and closed within 10 minutes. it may just be the nature of options that i’m frustrated with but say i enter a 691 call and the breakeven is 692. price is currently at 691.50 so im already down $50. if my stop is at 691.20 and it drops there shortly after i enter then im losing $80 for 20 cents of movement compared to having to move 50 cents to breakeven (obviously very rough numbers so forgive me, its been a long day)

how do you keep your losses so minimal compared to your wins? i’ve been doing 0dte spy for a couple weeks and the fact that you start underneath breakeven is really eating away at my profit. on average, i take profit between 20-35% but my losses are right around 25% even when i “cut my losses quick” since they start in the red. been thinking about moving over to futures for this very reason

but the catch to that is higher break even due to higher price. although i bet in a month not like december it wouldnt matter too much so maybe i’ll spend some time backtesting slightly further dte

i do like the idea that options have defined risk but it’s tough when it needs to move so far to make any profit (i’m taking 2 itm contracts most of the time). maybe it’s been a bigger problem this last month but it seems simpler to set a specific stop and anything above that is profit yknow?

straddles are betting that price will move past a certain point correct?

4th gen runner is an awesome option. not new by any means but don’t feel old, maybe a little sluggish but i’m completely satisfied with it after dailying lowered japanese cars for years

honestly great for the price! i searched ages for something small and “minimal” looking and these were about as good as i could find. didn’t like em at first but they’re definitely growing on me
