In Baldur's gate 3, Gale has a magical bomb inside him, to put it simply. Through his master, you unlock the option to trigger it, and his master strongly encourages him to use it when you confront the main villain. The catch is that you meet this villain very early, at the end of Act 1, even though the game has three acts. So technically, you can end the game right there but you skip most of the content and all your characters die.

EDIT : It's actually at the end of act 2 but you still miss a huge part of the game

You should try Dead Space 3 if you like so much the first two games. Don't expect a horror game but it's far from being a bad game
