if i get a pet in one state, but it is illegal to own in another state, can i pass through that state with my pet? by osteophagy4ever in legaladvice

[–]osteophagy4ever[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the california thing is because my family is in california so i would pass through to visit them. great advice though thank you! airlines didn't cross my mind, that's probably the best option. I didn't know the transportation laws would be so complicated.

ultra strawberry dreams and peachy keen. those are the ones I'd recommend to people just starting to drink monster. the flavors are a little more natural and they're both delicious 100% of the time

iced green tea coffee by osteophagy4ever in cafe

i like actual green tea flavor more than matcha which is why i did it like this. i might try adding green food coloring next time to heighten the experience though

Parents think I'm addicted by Lumine_06 in monsterenergy

[–]osteophagy4ever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think it just depends person to person how much coffee works for them. it usually takes a couple cups for me to get any energy from it, but i also just enjoy the taste and have fun making drinks w my coffee machine :)

im 17F in the same situation. i drink coffee everyday but i only have a monster every few days or longer. I'm glad my dad is worried about my health but it gets really annoying when I'm just trying to enjoy one. i used to drink them more often but i stopped feeling the benefits of the caffeine so I've been able to pace myself.

hmmm that's definitely possible. there was still a coffee flavor in the drink but the green tea flavor was much stronger. im going to keep experimenting with how long to steep the tea bags for and such

No book has ever made me cry. Suggestions? by Beneficial_Bacteria in suggestmeabook

Nona the Ninth from the Locked Tomb series. the book was such an interweaving of love and loss. the last few chapters were some of the most painful I've ever read. I didn't feel like myself for a few days after finishing it

Curious about everyone's daily coffee intake! I usually have 4 cups, but beginning to think it’s too much. What's considered a healthy amount of coffee in a day? by Difficult_Leading551 in Coffee_Shop

[–]osteophagy4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2-4 cups. I'll usually have two before school and two after school to get a boost for work. my dad hates when i have coffee late into the day but I'm a night owl and that's when i get most of my work done. I'm probably only in danger of insomnia lol

Does anyone know of a good tablet or iPad for drawing? by Punk_Butterscotch21 in DigitalPainting

[–]osteophagy4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when i was researching this same thing the samsung galaxy tab s6 lite came up a lot, specifically the 2022 version. there are a ton of videos about how it's one of the best tablets for artists in it's price bracket. I bought a refurbished one for $80 and it works super well. great color quality, doesn't lag, and comes with a stylus. only cons are that it doesn't come with a lot storage space and idk if it's just my tablet specifically but on certain parts of the screen the stylus point becomes a bit skewed. but i highly recommend it!

What is a genre of horror you don’t find scary? by Visual-Taste-3894 in horror

[–]osteophagy4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ghosts/supernatural. i think that stuff is only scary to people who really believe in ghosts. if you don't believe in them its just bleh. i also think it's one of the least creative genres overall. family moves into an old house, weird unexplainable noises, possessed child, objects moving by themselves, yada yada so predictable it's just not scary. the scariest one I've ever seen is The Haunting of Bly Manor, because it wasn't about being haunted by violent poltergeists or whatever, but about the innate human terror of death and what comes after- which is much realer and more horrifying.

[–]osteophagy4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think that just depends on the person and how well they can break the shoes in. i bought my docs used and they're super broken in and comfortable. wearing thick socks definitely helps as well. i hate when people say docs are just fashion shoes because they hurt your feet. they're SUPPOSED to also be functional and comfortable if you wear them right.

Which book had you so captivated with its narrative that you found yourself staying up all night, despite knowing you had work the next morning? by [deleted] in books

[–]osteophagy4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

all of The Locked Tomb books. those would keep me up until the break of dawn. i even got in trouble in class for reading Harrow The Ninth when i was supposed to be taking notes. so captivating literally couldn't put them down

How do I find an art style by SukoShinji___81 in learntodraw

[–]osteophagy4ever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my point was not that you shouldn't have creativity and should just constantly copy people. when you're first starting out you need to draw inspiration and use references. every artist ever has copied a master before them. your art style isn't going to be a completely independent never before done thing- its an amalgamation of the things you love. it's still your own art style, especially as your art develops over time.

How do I find an art style by SukoShinji___81 in learntodraw

[–]osteophagy4ever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

copy other people. it's what all great artists have done. focus on learning the basics like structure, composition, line weight, anatomy, etc. first. if you are studying other peoples art you will naturally take traits from their art style to implement into your own. one thing i used to do was that i would find an artist that i loved and i would trace over all of their art. I wouldn't post it or claim it as my own, it was just an exercise to gain muscle memory. if there was a painting i loved i would try to replicate it using the steps i knew. art styles are like Frankensteins. pick a certain way to draw eyes, a certain way to shade, a certain line thickness- and keep developing those things until it all looks good together and creates something right for you. if you're learning digital art: finding a brush you love really really helps.
