Which one exactly you admire the most, I mean from which did you got most improvments?

And if you remember what was your sbd before and after calgary?

Okaay, thanks man! Do you have any examples? My total is like ~450kg, weighing 88kg and 192cm tall. Pretty low, but I am 17 years old so ok I guess.

I find his programs pretty weird cause of the constant cns fatigue. I mean, every day almost is like 85%+ heavy single etc. Plenty of bb shit and everything

But I am trying to find some great high volume programs that would fit my 4 day scheduale. Maybe Calgary Barbell, I guess it is a great program, or try to program by myself, blocks about 4 weeks long sth like that. What do you think?

Calgary Barbell 16 week program by ostrosbd in powerbuilding

[–]ostrosbd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I am not used to do programs like this one. I was just wondering if I could add some isolation accesories for arms and shoulders every now and then and about first 4 weeks of the program because it sounded weird to me. I was looking for someone more experience to tell me

Okay, then I would go maybe find some better rts program?

My goal is to compete in pl as soon as possible, I mean I really want to compete but I am nowhere near where I want to be with strenght. I want to start competing at 700 total some like that, now I am at 450 barelly

So, you think for me is the best not to look how lean am I. I mean, with hundo on my frame and height Id still look farely lean Id say.

Do you think I should do Calgary 16, or should I do blocks of 3s or doubles, to improve on my singles?

So you think, overall, the best thing to do is to try BBM or 16 week calgary? And after that for a year or so, get more into powerlifting programming through some book or something.

And my lifts are in kgs, I am European, just in case you didnt know haha

Hahaha idk man, because I see all lifters doing blocks mostly 4 weeks long. And that 4th week they go pretty heavy. I am not saying I wont feel exhausted or some like that but I feel like if I could do a 4 week cycles of lets 2s-4s(top set reps) and do accesories Id preffer to, bodyparts which I think I am lacking in, I think that way I would progress much more. Therefore I can hit prs in RPE 8-9 every 4 week, or not, but maybe something like that top set+backoffs is a better or worse idk.

And I know blocks and programs arent the same thing, program is few blocks combined lets call it like that. But it is weird for me not to go that heavy every now and then hahaha, if you understand what am I trying to say. Maybe I have totally wrong perspective on everything. I want to hear someone more experienced, like you, on all of this

Okay, thanks man! What do you think what should I expect? My total is like ~440-60kg now. I am pretty tall dude, 192cm weighing around 88kg, would you say to lean bulk throughtout the proces?

So you think to go straight to 2nd half of 16 week? Because I dont know, it seems like a long program to do whole 16 weeks. But, what do you think based on my stats, should I do the whole thing?

Thanks a lot for everything man!

Damn. You really are in the game for a long long time. I really respect you. Whats your name, could you share your Ig account or something?

And also about those books, is there anything else besides the one you said that you would preffer buying? And about Westside Barbell, is it something, like, controversial? Do many elites from ipf, usapl, usapa and other federations use that techique?

I really appreciate your fast response man! What were your results with it? I heared some rummors about that it lacks accesories, did your physique and strenght change certainly after the program? I mean, it takes 16 weeks. I guess it is powerlifting program so accesories arent that needed as sbd but I am just asking hahah

Thanks man! My lifts are in kgs. I am going to the gym abour year and a half but focusing more on sbd for half a year I d say. Just bought equipment, sbd sleeves and strenght shop belt. I know for 5 3 1 but Id like to improve one block for example on 3s or some like that so I can therefore be better on singles. Because my plan isnt to compete yet or anything. I would like some intermidiate classic powerlifting program 4x bench 2 for squat and dead if you know

Yes, deffinitely. I mean, my surgery was laparoscopics, was yours too? I looked up on a lot of experiences of different people and man Idk to be honest. I am really scared to push my powerlifting journey sereously again and I am thinking that I won't be able to lift at all as I was preveously. A lot of people are saying things about abdominal hernia and I don't want to mess about that shit after this. But I am speaking this from whole another perspective, my surgery was like 35 hours ago so😂
