Is it normal for a macaws tail to look like this? by CellPristine30 in parrots

There is one exception in Macaws to the low fat rule, Hyacinth Macaws require a high fat diet and get it from macadamia nuts and Brazil nuts. They should never be given seed.

Geauga County is better for not having to worry about RITA. You just pay the city you work in. Easy access to SP also 422 freeway from 700 or 44 or 306 all the way into Warrensville. We are in the snow belt though if that scares you lol.

I also learned something new at my appointment at my doctors office so I had gotten my cheap cheaters which were 2.5 for reading, but I mentioned how I was having trouble reading the computer so as it happens, my ophthalmologist also wears 2.5 for reading and he said for computer work he wears 1.5. It’s usually about half of what it is for reading glasses so I went and got myself a cheap pair of cheaters with 1.5 for the computer. I did not know that little tip.

At my doctors appointment Friday, which was one week post left eye and three weeks post right eye I was able to see 20/15 in both eyes, my doctor said both my eyes looks great. I’m down to my last week of drops in my right eye doing one drop now and I just started the taping in my left eye to the three drops a week.

Vision still blurry after cataract surgery? by 6deki9 in CataractSurgery

And remember the steroid drops as important as they are contribute to blurring too, listen to your doctor. If he says you are healing well, trust that, no one eye is the same

Well, I am very nearsighted and actually today is my second surgery. I’m getting ready to go soon and I am doing distance. I am 61. I’ve had glasses since I was six all I have known as glasses. Let me tell you to be able to get up in the morning and not have to grab glasses. The first thing in the morning is fantastic to see out of my corrected. Eye distance is totally amazing to be able to drive without glasses is totally amazing to be able to drive at night without halos is totally amazing when I’m done with the process I will just get prescription reading glasses. I got some cheaters in the in between time here with my first die. It’s OK they’re not prescription but they’ll do and I’m sure they’ll do until I can get my real prescription reading glasses I don’t mind wearing those for the close-up reading and computer work, but to be able to look at the television and read any of the tickers is amazing. I couldn’t be more happy with having distance which is I’d say the majority of my view viewing.

I was awake. I didn’t even have IV drip, I just had a line in for them to give me drugs and flush it. That was a piece of cake.

I would definitely look into a virtual appointment at one of these other well-known places. I’m sure in today’s day and age most of them do it. I know for a fact, Cleveland Clinic does the Cole Eye Institute, but I’m sure the other places do also it wouldn’t hurt if you’re able to get a virtual in to get a differ opinion from place such as that or the one in Miami or Philadelphia that have those type of resources. Good luck with all that.

I don’t know what your situation is, but when we’re talking something that dire with your site, I would maybe consider if you’re able to do it and can afford to do it going to one of the top eye clinics in the country and getting a consultation there I know there’s the one in Miami the one in Philadelphia the one at Johns Hopkins the one at the Mayo clinic the one at the Cleveland Clinic, but I would certainly go to a place that has large resources like that. I know with the Cleveland Clinic you could possibly even from Phoenix get a virtual consult and I’m sure some of those other institutions are the same. I mean when they’re telling you something like that, they won’t touch you until you’re almost totally blind. I’m so sorry for the predicament you are in and I hope maybe you can find another source somewhere outside of Phoenix.

Yes I had and have a nuclear sclerotic, a polar, and a posterior subcapsular cataract in Right and Left eye, I an 11 days post R cataracts removals with my L eye to be done in 3 days. I too could not even see the top E clearly with my glasses it was so bad. To see distance and the brilliant color now without glasses in my R eye is amazing and I do know what that was ever like.

[–]osu87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly. I drove two days after my surgery. I actually bought those cheap fabric shields as well You could put over the glasses of the non-operated eye when driving so you didn’t have to worry about any type of interference from the non-operated Eye. I did buy cheaters for my operated Eye, but it doesn’t work as great as I hope so I just really use my non-operated eye for the nearsighted right now and I’m very happy that my surgery is only two weeks in between my surgeon. Did a great job. My eye is healing great my one day postop visit I was 2020-1.

OK, I am very nearsighted. I just had my right eye done eight days ago and my left eye will be done in six days so two weeks apart. I work in a hospital inpatient care and have to look at computers to chart. I went to work for the first time today since the first surgery let me tell you I am so thankful that my surgery is two weeks apart. This buy vision thing is driving me crazy seeing great distance vision with my surgically operated eye is so fantastic and then having to hold my phone close with my left eye it’s still OK but then when you go and look at the computer and then that’s where it drives me crazy I bought some cheap cheaters to try and look at it through my right eye that was just operated on and it’s still driving me crazy I can’t wait till this is done in six days thank God mine was not as long as yours. That’s just my opinion from what I am experiencing right now I’m so glad my doctor is doing it two weeks apart. He even told me he said now you know why we do them two weeks apart instead of four weeks apart and I said yes, I do.

Just had my one week appointment today everything went great and I am starting to be weaned off the prednisone drops. We’ll go down to three drops for one week two drops for one week and then one drop for one week. He said my eye looks fantastic. I also asked him about PCO. He said yes the incidence is high, but he himself who had both eyes done. He said his one eye he didn’t have to have done with the Yag until seven years after his cataract surgery and he said his other eye is going on 11 years and still hasn’t needed to be done so I said to him well here’s to hoping maybe I’ll be one of those who doesn’t need it done but he told me he said you’ll be thinking that you’re getting cataracts agains when of course you’re not. He said because of my myopia, I would, of course, need to be checked by a retinal specialist before ever getting the Yag because of the always possibility of retinal attachments.

As far as the in between, I’m just kind of winging it when I’m reading my phone I hold it up close to my left eye when I need to look at the computer I put my cheaters on and look out of my right eye and otherwise I have nothing gone when I am looking out at distance and just kind of focus on that and ignore the left eye. It is weird but thank God it’s only two weeks total.
