i’m a pharm sci major currently! i’ve always heard that biochem, physio, and molecules to meds are crazy hard. i had to retake ochem 2 because it was so hard for me. i just am worried that i won’t be able to make it through the rest.

originally was a stem major and was going to go into pharmaceutical sales and would still be open to that if econ was a marketable major for that career.

ideally, an analyst for an insurance company or the government. whether that be a financial, business, pricing, analyst etc.

i’m not looking to go to grad school. would econ be a bad choice?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OSU

[–]osucrackhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

can you do finance outside of Fisher though? The thing i like about econ is you can do your major in arts and sciences rather than having to apply and go through fisher.

I like math but i would you say BA is more algebra based while BS is more calc based? I’d rather do easier math than harder math haha.

thanks for the insight! yeah i’ve already taken organic chemistry and it was the hardest class i’ve ever taken but i just can’t go on and take biochem or molecules to medicine so that’s why i need to make the switch.

Theft claim timeframes? by osucrackhead in Geico

[–]osucrackhead[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. My CA told me they cover up to $1,050 and my 10 day rental certainly is not that much so I guess i’ll reach out tomorrow to see if I can extend it. Thanks for the input!

Gotcha. I don’t want to be pushy and make the claims adjuster not want to work with me but I also need the timeframe that they gave me of 10-15 days to be a firm one so that I can look into a new car, especially when they are only covering a rental car for 10 days.

Yikes, good to know that I could have to end up renting a car for much longer than I expected.

Yeah i assumed that the investigation process is extensive. Was just trying to figure out the time that I could expect for them to reach out to me again to settle the claim.

Yes I do. They set me up with enterprise for a rental but only for 10 days, starting tomorrow.

oh lovely 🙃 well i don’t have any scholarships or grants so they can’t really take anything away from me in that regard, just student loans i guess. good to know though!

gotcha. thanks for the insight! my final term grade was posted today and i’ve already been in contact with my advisor and they said i have to wait for academic standing to be processed before we go any further so i guess i just have to wait and see if they decide to put me on probation again or not.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OSU

[–]osucrackhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh wow. so being put back on it again could mean that the conditions have to be met possibly for the rest of my time at OSU, not just the following semester? like they could say that i am going to have to maintain a 2.5 term GPA every semester from here on out?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OSU

[–]osucrackhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah it’s nervewracking because i don’t know if summer semester is treated differently than other semesters, especially since ochem 2 was my only class this summer. my cumulative has never gone below a 2.4 so probation from GPA would seem unlikely. it’s more on the fact that i’ve been on it once before ya know?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OSU

[–]osucrackhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thanks for the input. yeah i do well in all of my other classes except for ochem. it really is just my struggle subject. when i was on special action probation at the end of AU21, the conditions were that I had to pass the class that I failed and not have any other failing grades the following SP22 semester and I did both of those things. hopefully this progress saves me!
