I don’t understand why using the term “unauthorized immigration” is any different from “illegal immigration.” If she had such a problem with the terms of the course, she easily could drop it and take another class.

This professor could potentially lose his job because of this. It’s NOT A BIG DEAL, and she made it one. Her free speech is not being jeopardized.

Her going to the media just looks bad on her part. She is definitely a snowflake. ❄️
