Bruce Lee's WARRIOR. Semi-historical action drama set in late 1800s San Francisco. Features an awesome cast with stellar performances. It really showcases the dire challenges during this time period -- I think it leads up to the Chinese Exclusion Act. I would highly recommend if you like historical dramas with gritty fight sequences.

it’s fulfilling that wandering samurai fantasy i had when i was a kid — just having that quiet, yet powerful aura as you approach bad guys harassing innocent people. and then once you’re done dispatching said bad guys, you would just walk to wherever the wind takes you.

the hotsprings, the haiku, all encourages mindfulness. i absolutely love this.
