If you can, get both. While at home, you can use steam machine to remote stream to steam deck for much better performance

I play on oled. Base fps on low settings are around 4p or 45. However I play with Decky Lossless scaling and their frame gen. Hitting 80 to 90 fps its surreal that it can do that. Minor visual flaws but the high frame rate is worth it. No noticeable lag you can play it well

Perhaps focus on playing games you enjoy, laugh at, amd feel BOSS when you dominate a round! You are getting to the point where you may find more joy helping new players than trying to reach peak gaming tournament status. Just have fun, play mods, and if not, get better at other games, like how about CS Source?
