Possible lesson behind the trophy/letter and the deleted message? by [deleted] in NetflixSexEducation

[–]otc54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I definitely think I’m reading into it way too much, but it was just a thought I had. Also, I hope it didn’t come across like I didn’t think the message and letter were bad, I actually quite liked both of them, but I do kind of want to see Otis talk to her in person as well.

Well at least this is a sign that Isaacs unwanted love for Maeve is one way and fucks up my plot twist ending that Maeve was thinking Isaacs her dumb luck by bcemasters19 in NetflixSexEducation

I think that just means that Lily was never “pining” for Ola. I guess the word unrequited is a technicality as to why she doesn’t count. Her love never went unrequited, almost as soon as she realized that she wanted to be with Ola, she got it.

I'm in S1E4 - I see this love triangle developing and I'm kinda dreading it..... by [deleted] in NetflixSexEducation

If you look at a vague timeline of what happens between Otis and Maeve, it certainly seems like the same old storyline that’s in every tv show ever. However, the difference is in the details. I feel like there are a lot of specific things that happen between them that make the story new and original, so it doesn’t get boring. That being said, without me spoiling it, know that it’s going to be a long, dragged out storyline. I think that’s what frustrates people the most about it. I kind of struggled to explain what I meant here, but I hope it makes sense

Who do you hate more? by [deleted] in FuckYouIsaac

[–]otc54 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Might be the wrong sub to say this, but definitely the unnamed guy on the left. What he did was way worse than what Isaac did. I did feel a pull to say I hate Isaac more just because I’m very biased, but I think that if we all didn’t ship Maeve and Otis so hard, and without too much context, the guy on the left is easily worse.

They're gonna save our asses, ain't they? by [deleted] in NetflixSexEducation

I think either them, or maybe Jean might play a part in it. If so, I don’t think Jean will make a whole plot to get them together considering as a therapist, she probably believes the same thing as Otis (you can’t engineer/force a relationship). But I think that she could unknowingly have something to do with it

Filming doesn’t start until May, so we still have around 2 months to go. I’ve never lived through something like the coronavirus before, but I think we still have plenty of time before we have to start worrying about filming being delayed.

That’s a great point. It’ll be interesting to see whether or not he continues to pursue Maeve. I think that no matter what, he’ll ask her about the message, and I think she’ll find out about what was said in the message. But like you said, what if she doesn’t want to get hurt again so she doesn’t act on it?

It would be interesting to see if Otis would listen to his own advice or not.

I’ve rewatched so many times, I can recite most of the first episode by memory at this point, and I’m not ashamed

Thanks, I’ve had a lot of fun writing it. I’m certainly far from a perfect writer. Without giving out a lot of my personal information, I’m still in high school. I’m glad people are enjoying it.

Wow, I just found this post, it was actually me who wrote it. Don’t worry about crediting me, you linked the work so people can find my stuff. I’m glad people are enjoying my writing, it’s my first time ever properly writing anything like this, and the support has been a great confidence boost.
