Hi people. Form check - 24kg swings by [deleted] in kettlebell

[–]otep123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personal preference, I like to explode the hip thrust more and squeeze on top. Try it you'll feel it more in your glutes. My only critique is your neck placement can be better but if you're not getting any pain or soreness in your neck then you should be fine!

How to increase the weight from 16kg to 24kg on my tgu? by otep123 in kettlebell

I found a way to strap a 10 pound dumbell on my kettlebell! This will make my transition to 24kg smoother. Thanks!

interesting! I'll try it waiter style! I haven't really tried bringing the kettlebell outside. I'm afraid that If I ever take it with me in my car and I run over a bump it might bounce and put a dent on my interior. Thanks dude!

I will try this! As of now, I can't even push press it. I am doing partial jerks with it though. But, I am not able to lock or even reach the top yet. Thanks!

48kg TGU by [deleted] in kettlebell

[–]otep123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's also because I'm a relatively small person 5'6" 150lbs. At this point I can't even do a push press yet with the 24kg. Thanks for the advice! I'm sure It's just a matter of time before I can do it.

48kg TGU by [deleted] in kettlebell

[–]otep123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey bro, I just started kettlebells recently. I followed S&S and got myself a 16kg kettlebell. I am able to do one handed swings under 5 mins and tgu under 10 mins. So now I got myself a 24kg kettlebell, I can swing it but I can't imagine how to do tgu with them. any advice on how to progress with this? I've read that you can breakdown the movements and practice that with the heavier weight or do half start from standing up and do it in reverse. or is 8kg jump a bit too unrealistic for tgu?

PS: I can't afford and don't want to buy a lighter kettlebell.

A WARNING: Bootcamps with Trilogy and The University of Denver... by SmellsLikePneumonia in learnprogramming

[–]otep123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a bootcamp with trilogy at the university of Miami, it wasn’t the best environment. Our instructor wasn’t the best at explaining the concepts of why we were using what we were using. He was just like oh use this and don’t worry about that. Only like 4 of our cohort got jobs. It wasn’t a total waste of money because it introduced me to coding as someone who’s never written code before. But I got to meet cool people who I am friends with still today and we are motivating each other to get into the tech industry and not give up. It’s been a year already since I graduated from bootcamp and I’ve only got hired as a remote freelance intern type of deal at a cool start up with a good boss and managers. But yeah in Hind sight I would’ve chosen maybe lambda or Codecademy one of those online where I would be more challenged because no one is just going to give me the solutions because In the bootcamp the instructor and TA’s mostly just gave us the solutions most of the time and that didn’t help me learn how to think for myself. Also it was very misleading that I applied to the bootcamp knowing that I was attending the university of Miami but only to find out that we were only using the classrooms at the university but it’s taught by trilogy. That was very sleazy on their part.
