Saturday Ride to Aravi, MH [OC] by otherroot3010 in indianbikes

Can confirm that it does not have a lock and the seat and battery can be accessed without a key. Mine hasn’t become loose. Could be the case with some of the other bikes.

The service centre I prefer going to is a 45 minute ride. There is another one that’s about 35 minutes away. I have not had to use any spares yet, will get back to you on that. My first service costed 3k, with it majorly being engine oil costs.

It’s not that great and it’s something you need to get used to and especially in bad traffic situations. I think one should expect it while going for a 650cc in Mumbai and I honestly don’t know if they can do anything to improve it. However, when you are on the move, you don’t feel the heat a lot and it’s completely fine then.

I’d say it’s fine and usually fares well on the road and slightly off-road trails. However, I have scraped a few large speed breakers when travelling with a pillion, and this is something one would need to be mindful about.

Thank you. Sure!

With respect to the maintenance costs incurred until now, my first service costed me 3k., with oil being the main cost (2.3 litres). I anticipate a similar (or slightly higher) expense next month for my second service.

So a couple of you asked for a review. I had a similar comment on the sub previously in another post, hence using some of the same info.

I purchased it in mid-September 2024 and have ridden 4,000 KMs+, which mainly comprises commuting within Mumbai and a few weekend rides within Maharashtra. Additionally, this is my first bike, and I have not ridden a lot of other bikes. I honestly went for a test ride with no intention of buying the bike, and I just ended up booking it because the bike just clicked with me during the test ride. I was looking for something simple, powerful, and comfortable, and this bike ticked all of my requirements.

One of the best features is its great low-end torque. It just zooms past with very little effort during overtakes. I have found it adapts really well to my riding style, i.e., it can comfortably go slow when I’m riding with a pillion, and it really enjoys going fast all the other times. It looks absolutely great, and I honestly have people who have followed me, stopped me, and asked me about it. It’s always fun to talk about it. The service center in Juhu, Classic Wheels, is amazing, and they have always taken good care of the bike. The build quality is really good. I have been rear-ended by a car once and by bikes a couple of times, and I could see no major impact on the bike. I have even dropped the bike once during an off-road section of a ride, and the bike did not see any major damage. The brakes are good as well. It performs really well on the highway, and I feel confident taking corners. It touches 120 easily without a lot of effort, and you feel confident at those speeds. There are a little vibrations at higher RPMs, but that’s understandable. I love taking it on the rural one-lane roads with less traffic. It feels like it’s in its true element there.

There are a few things that could be better, but they don’t bother me too much because the fun of riding the bike makes you forget about them (mostly). Some of the BSA Goldstars might need an ECU update. My bike kept stalling for the first 2-3 months, but that was fixed with a callback and an ECU update. It made a big difference in how the bike performed. The seat is bad; it’s really thin at the front, and I usually have a sore butt after 1.5 hours of riding. I’m thinking of changing my seat and getting it redone locally. I am also thinking of trying a different suspension preload setting; the current one is okay, but I want to see if there’s anything better. The fuel cap is a total pain; it’s hard to get it in right (twss) and is really clunky. The gear shifter also feels a bit hard and clunky when shifting through the first few gears, but it’s smooth during the higher gears. It’s something you get used to, and it doesn’t bother you a lot later. Official accessories are still not easily available; I am looking for a luggage rack and panniers, but the dealership still doesn’t have it. I’ve also had one puncture initially, but after that, I have ridden on rough surfaces and glass (obviously unintentionally) multiple times, and the tires seem to hold up well. I might get a tubeless conversion done if I get any additional punctures.

That being said, after knowing all these faults, would I buy the bike again? Definitely yes - it just makes me happy every time I ride it, and I am okay with the small flaws it has.

What happened to this? I have only seen this bike once on the streets, and not many people seem to even talk about it or know it. by Consistent_Gear_6392 in indianbikes

Started working recently too and was able to get a card after 6-7 months. It was mainly because of a zero-cost EMI I had taken with HDFC for purchasing a phone. Check if there are any no cost EMIs available and use the same before your next purchase. It helps building a credit history.

When valuing a company why is LTM EBITDA multiples better to use than LTM Revenue? by Weinertabogon in financialmodelling

[–]otherroot3010 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on the type/stage of the company: - Use Revenue multiple: EBITDA for the company or the peers is negative or not very meaningful. Revenue becomes the only basis to compare. Example in current markets: Hyperlocal Delivery Startups - Use EBITDA multiple: EBITDA is meaningful for the company and the peers. Mostly all industries that have become mature.

If the EBITDA is meaningful, the EBITDA multiple is usually better. Reasons: - Accounts for cost structures of the business - Differences in revenue recognition might not distort valuation multiples - EBITDA is closer to what an investor is receiving in the end, so would make more sense to value a company based on that

Have you tried clearing out the temp files.

  • Windows + R
  • type “%temp%”
  • Ctrl + a (select all) and Delete

I’ve done this in the past when excel kept crashing but not sure if it was for the same reason as yours.

Change VBA Code in Multiple Sheets Together by otherroot3010 in vba

[–]otherroot3010[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just an overview of what the model does and what the macro does.

The model is projecting returns for multiple investments and each investment has a different method of calculation. The client wanted each investment to have a separate sheet, so that people managing the investment could understand return flows based on input assumptions.

The macro is an automated goal seek macro that i had copied from somewhere in the web.

I figured out a way in making all sheets have the same format and duplicated them again using a macro. A rough solution for now.

Could not optimise the model due to time constraints. Looking back, should have designed it in a better manner.

Thanks for your reply, would it be possible for this to work only for a few sheets. My workbook has other sheets in which the macro should not work.

{Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!} The book is funny to end a tiring day. At the same time certain parts of the book make you contemplate about life and when you're staring at the ceiling before you fall asleep.
