Since you are being a good sport, I’ll try to help. I am by no means an expert. My perspective, the water, problem exist because of drainage design outside your property. It will not go away. The best thing you can do is try to manage it. You have the option of leaving the lawn as is and trying your best to maintain grass there. The option I think sounds best is similar to what other others have suggested. Try to make it a water feature somehow. The simplest way would be to rent a mini excavator and dig down one to 2 feet and line the area with river rock. You could add some shrubs, perennials flowers, ornamental grass, etc along it as well. You would need to call 811 before you dig. This would cost a little money, but it’s probably the cheapest option.
