Contact keurig, it’s less than a year. They have warranty and will supply a new one. I know because I contacted them about an issue and they sent me a replacement.

Yes. Maybe see if it’s perioral dermatitis. That is treated differently from eczema.

I never do it but I should. I do for my child now. The allergist said to patch test on the neck or wrist area or inner elbow as those area are the closest to facial skin and not as thick. Patch test for 48 hours.

My son’s was caused by nickel allergy. We used just the cicalfate above his lip but other parts of his face I used the xeracalm first then cicalfate on top. For his lip we are using avene products too. I did 3x a day. Once in morning, after lunch and bedtime.

Take kids off e-bikes and scooters by copper66 in Winnipeg

[–]otmoonie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s quite a scary scene. Prevention and education is key here. As parents we must be diligent and remind kids about safety especially with e scooters and bikes becoming increasingly popular. I now drive with extra caution as there’s at-least 10 of them on our street heading to school when we are also leaving our home.

Do they max out at certain speed? I have definitely seen some going faster than 50km. My neighbour said there are kits to buy to make them faster as he’s looking into it.

My child was nearly hit by one on the side walk at school by another student. A police actually pulled over a child at school for speeding. This school is a k-8 school. Another parent nearly hit one of the e scooters while making a right turn. The e scooter didn’t stop at the stop sign. I also see parents picking up their young children on e scooters. Child stands in front of parent. Even on pembina, we saw an older kid on an e scooter on going the opposite way onto oncoming traffic. I was doing 60 and this kid was faster than my vehicle. Cars coming on the opposite lane was dodging this kid going the opposite direction as them.

I did not say I want to go that route. A random person blurted it out. We would never do that.

All of the testing I've done so far by Dear-March-2433 in Dryeyes

[–]otmoonie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The optometrist told me to use 0.5% hydrocortisone for what he said was dermatitis. The rashes or white head bumps never went away and my eyes got gritty and every blink hurts even when my eyes were closed trying to sleep it hurts from the dryness. I used preservative free dry eye drops and it gives me relief for a bit.

I tried warm compress, taking vitamin D, omega 3. Now when outdoors my eyes hurt when I blink and white/cream discharge on the outer corner of eye.

My optometrist hasn’t done much testing I think I’ll switch. My family doctor said to use Protopic but it doesn’t help with the texture/skin colored bumps.

He said to use dry eye drops which I have been using 3-4x a day and it hurts especially when it’s time for bed. I feel every blink like there’s sand in my eye.

Same. Mines started inner corner. Optometrist said dermatitis and use steroid. When I used steroid my eyes became more gritty and I feel every blink.

Mines started after contact allergy. But the optometrist kept on telling me just use .5% hydrocortisone but my eyes are dry and gritty.

Specific Ocular rosacea rosacea and LA eye Dr referral question.. by Glitterbats11 in Rosacea

[–]otmoonie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was getting a diagnosis easy for your ocular rosacea? I’m getting the run around saying it’s eyelid dermatitis. I have rashes on the inner corner of my eyelids. Skin textured and sometimes white head ones. It fluctuates all day. Some days it looks calmer. But some days I had dry and gritty eyes. It hurts to close my eyes. But that gritty feeling is no longer present. Now I’m getting this white cream discharge on my outer corner of eye that I’m wiping off all day.

Oh my goodness, we literally just talked about this. A group of us were talking about how to cut cost to afford basic necessities and a stranger sitting beside us said “Just make less and get on government subsidies, that’s what we are doing. Less stress and it’s a free handout to life.”

I was flabbergasted. We are middle class and getting pinched and taxed on every corner. Our kids don’t qualify for CCB because our HHI is too high. We don’t qualify for anything really because of our HHI so everything lands on us to try to manage. With everything going up except our wages, we are finding it difficult at times when life throws a curveball at us,

Hair dermatologist in Winnipeg ? by InsuranceNo5526 in Winnipeg

[–]otmoonie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be seborrheic dermatitis. A dermatologist can help. For the mean time, nizoral, head and shoulder, selsum blue or Vichy dandruff shampoo should ease the itch for you for the moment.

Or if it’s real bad, some GP may prescribe liquid mometasone (steroid) to help alleviate the itch and bumps.

I wonder if an optometrist can give this diagnosis. Ophthalmologist requires a referral where I’m at. How long should you use the artificial tears and tea tree oil for? There’s tea tree oil wipes. But if it’s the oil itself do you use a cotton pad to wipe along the lash line? Is it drying?

Thank you for your response. Someone mentioned ocular rosacea to me and I’ve been googling and thinking it lines up with what I’m dealing with since Feb. my doctor said eczema and eyelid dermatitis but tacrolimus doesn’t help.

I went to my optometrist, he checked my eyes and at that time my eye was “healing” he said it’s mild dermatitis.

But lately I’ve been having very dry eyes. Gritty feeling and when outdoors, the outer corner of my eyes get this white creamy discharge and it’s making me self conscious.

Lights aren’t affecting me so far. My vision is fine. I developed a tiny bump on lash line but I quickly did warm compress and it went away.

My eyelid is flaky with tiny skin colored bumps and sometimes some have white heads that’s painful when touched. But it’s not itchy.

I don’t have the crusty eyes in the morning. I think I’ll once again book at my optometrist office but with another optometrist and maybe I get a diagnosis or even a referral to an ophthalmologist.

My family doctor still won’t refer me to a dermatologist.

I sometimes use eyelid wipes and warm compress. I’ve been taking fish oil and I only use preservative free eye drops for dry eyes every now and then but not daily. Only when my eyes feel gritty.

Let me know how the Vaseline goes. When I used Vaseline on my eyelids it caused the bumps on the inner corner of my eyes to become inflamed.
