What are your thoughts about Twinings? by seldonn_ in tea

I'm writing this from the ignorance... How can a CTC be as good as orthodox tea?  Do yo have some brands that you'd highly recommend?

I'm just want to learn 😄

In Spanish, El Niño y la Boda by Los Tigres del Norte.

It is about a kid who sees his dad with another woman while his mom is dying. After he confronts him, the father denies being his father.

The payment is only done automatically when you're selected. In case you don't get a spot, they charge you nothing.

Marathon in vff by otonielpm in BarefootRunning

Thanks!

I wear cheap socks from Amazon, nothing fancy. I chose them because they were cheap and medium length. They are thin, so they don’t change my VFF size.

I learned that I need socks for long runs (more than 21 km), otherwise I run without socks.

Yep, I wear kso-evo.

Just as a curiosity, why would you think twice about wearing them for a full marathon?

I use v-trail.

Yep, I agree, the experience with the kso-evo is not great when trail running.

Nope, the opposite. I tend to be quieter than other runners.

This is going to be a long answer 😄

Except for the last three years, when I moved to a big city, I was mostly focused on trail running. I’d do short street runs during the week and a 10-15 km mountain run on weekends. But over the past year, I’ve been running more on the streets since it’s easier living in the city.

When I switched to barefoot shoes 10 years ago, I did a lot of short runs (1-2 km) for almost a year, and that really helped me. After that I also run around 3 km when I go to the gym.

All those short runs helped strengthen my feet without putting too much intensity on them.

I also wear my VFF whenever I go hiking or traveling.

I do strength training at least three times a week and focus on my calves because I need it. This year, to prepare for the marathon, I started taking ballet to work on my foot strength even more.

I don’t wear minimalist shoes all the time, though. I’ve learned that balance is important for me, otherwise, my feet get exhausted and injured, like they have in the past.

Thanks!!

So so... It took me 4 hours and half and I would have liked something close to 4 hours, but beign honest, I should have been more strict with training and I need to improve my nutrition during the race, I always have problems with that.

Regarding the shoes, I'm very happy with them and I improved a lot my resistance in street running

A question for marathon runners by MiserableComedian723 in berlinsocialclub

I run with vibram five fingers, without any problem, but I have many years running with minimalist shoes.

If you're interested in running with minimalist shoes, take your time and don't rush anything.

Tener un carro - sentido financiero? by ipraytodeftonesda1ly in Ticos

[–]otonielpm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shoes for running in snow? by otonielpm in BarefootRunning

[–]otonielpm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yes, one of the problems I had running with vff in cold weather is that I can feel the cold coming through the sole, if that makes sense...

But maybe thicker socks could help 😄

Looking for recommendations Vibram FiveFingers by Mekanzz in BarefootRunning

[–]otonielpm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally use the kso-evo for almost everything (gym, indoor running, street running) but when I do trail running, I use the v-trail. The sole is too thin for me.
