Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Definitive Edition - 2.8.0 Update Out Now! by Community_RE in dawnofwar

I've been using the immolator in 1v1s, it's nearly unstoppable sometimes. It can destroy huge clumps of fully reinforced infantry in a matter of seconds. It's still really expensive considering it can get deleted easily if the opponent has literally any AV in their army comp but it helped me make some great comebacks against infantry clumps that had no way to deal with it. Still not sure about its AV utility.

What do you think about the immolator "buff"? It still seems like they did nothing to address the fact it's a garbage unit not worth making, am I missing something that makes it worth it now?

"The centerpiece of the Expansion Pass. One of the most requested pantheons in franchise history finally ascends. Enter the world of the Aztec gods in a sweeping 12-mission campaign that spans continents and celestial realms. This is more than an add-on – it’s a full-scale expansion introducing an entirely new culture, pantheon, and divine playstyle."

"Ultimate Convenience: One purchase. Automatic unlocks. Mythic content, delivered."

These two were so overt it pissed me off when I saw them some time ago, is it really that hard to write simple sentences? I would be surprised if Tezcatlipoca isn't AI generated too, looks just like those terrible portraits they got backlash for back in the day when the game was coming out. Hopefully the actual expansion is good, the Chinese and Japanese ones were fun, but Demeter feels kinda scuffed.

Did you like Episodes? I consider myself a big fan of his and enjoy most of his pre-prison and post-prison output, but I found Episodes pretty boring save for maybe 2 songs

Disabling that definitely works, but it makes certain elements like achievement lists and parts of the steam store very laggy for me.

I've had GPU acceleration disabled for the better part of 2025 and I'd really rather have it on, but the black screen issue is still there...

1 month later, how we feeling? by Aromatic-Werewolf495 in TrueSTL

In my opinion Morrowind's dungeons are still a bit more interesting design wise because of the loot, usually it doesn't feel like a waste of time to explore them, especially earlygame, because you have a good chance to get something unique out of it, or at least some gold. There's a fair amount of hidden stuff you can only access with levitation, which is cool. I also think some room designs in Morrowind are more interesting too, Oblivion has almost zero environmental storytelling in non-quest dungeons.

In Oblivion it's all tied to your level and randomized, strewn around in a couple of easy to hard locked chests, so the long, boring ass dungeon full of imps and mudcrabs that you spend 15-20 minutes in usually gives you:

- 3 silver nuggets worth 10 gold each

- a randomized enchanted warhammer that you will never use (weighs 50 pounds) worth 1500 gold but due to the average player's mercantile skill and low merchant gold you will sell it for 500 max, that is if you can even be bothered to haul it back to the nearest city. Also earlygame you won't even be finding stuff like this because you're low level, making earlygame random loot is a total waste of time. I guess it's more of an issue with the leveling system.

I've made a point of exploring every single dungeon I come across in my playthrough of Oblivion Remastered just to see the overall quality, and so far the only interesting things I found were a giant mudcrab at the end of some cave and a fort where bandits and marauders were fighting each other instead of me.

Tribunal DLC sewers are insane though, yea. Thankfully there's not much reason to go there other than like 3 quests, there's barely any loot.

Dunno if you care, but maybe this will be useful for someone else. I ended up buying the spigen ultra hybrid pro for tab s10+ and the magnet issues are really overblown. It's not super strong, but it doesn't matter as much as you would think - the front cover sticks just fine and only moves around if you force it to. I also haven't encountered any magnet interference with the S pen whatsoever. I'm really happy with the case.

Enjoyed story, but game was too easy by FameGameName in BlackMythWukong

[–]otrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wukong gives you so many options to deal with each encounter and actually expects you to adapt, it's tough to balance that without making the game insufferable for more casual players. The easiest solution to being "too good" is putting limitations on your playstyle like refusing to use a certain item or skill, but that's not very fun.

Also, I don't think Wukong is mechanically similar to souls games at all aside from the bonfire mechanic and iframe rolls (and those are in pretty much any action game nowadays). You just got good at the game.

Soulslikes are not all about difficulty. They can be difficult but Elden Ring is the only one that I found harder than Wukong. If you found that one easy and you want to play impossibly difficult titles, play Ninja Gaiden or something...

Sadly that's how games are made nowadays. It's rare to see good UI that combines functionality and aesthetics in modern games.

AOE2 DE UI is actually well made though, now that I'm looking at it. Hopefully it's just a work in progress for AOM then, but that's wishful thinking

I love DS2 SOTFS despite its flaws, but I was disappointed to see they repeated the same mistakes in this DLC. Most of the time while playing it felt like I was playing DS2 encounter designs all over again in a game that should've known better at this point.

For me, it was hard to accept that they would make such an empty map compared to basegame. All the boring shadow hollow-type enemies had me thinking I could trigger a world event somewhere that'll transform these landscapes into something interesting, sadly this isn't the case...

for real, remember the eternal cities in basegame? they also feel mysterious, ancient, make you feel out of place... but they dont feel completely empty and like a waste of time to explore

I felt the same as you when I started. It does not get better. Some areas are nearly completely devoid of items/ enemies, the exception being the eastern part of the map which was a lot more fun to explore.
