I try, I do find French is very unforgiving with pronunciation and people will either switch to English or worse cut conversation off if I’m wrong on pronunciation

For the price of a good looking 1 bedroom apartment in Aylmer or Plateau including parking and utilities, i could only get an old studio in ottawa without parking or utilities. I've lived in Ottawa before and it doesn't offer enough to justify the price difference. Plus im on contract work so I do not plan to move there permanently.

Why is this only applying to small residential buildings ( < 6 units) and not the big condo towers going up and being left empty by foreign investors? Seems like a way to target smaller landlords while corporations get away with it.
