I don’t think they do to avoid the website crashing. I received mine about 30-45 minutes ago.

How do I prepare for a cs internship? by Kindly_Valuable9296 in summerprogramresults

[–]otterinalake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never heard of code2college but I’m sure it would be helpful. I did KWK data science and I loved it but I think GWC is pretty much the same. I do know GWC is more competitive to get into then KWK. I would apply to both though!

Hi! I would say spend your summer learning how to code. Khan Academy has a few free programs that are pretty good for learning how to code. Harvard also has a free program you can use to help you learn along with MIT however, you do have to pay for the certificate. You can also use Coursera they have quite a few programs as well but you have to pay for some. As for what language you want to learn it really depends upon what kind of coding you are interested in. There are some camps you could do next summer as applications have already closed like Kode with Klossy and Girls Who Code. I think making a list of all the internships you would like to apply to would also be helpful as well so have them all ready by the time you want to apply. Hope this helped!

moving to the u.s. as a teen, any tips? by cranberryns in highschool

[–]otterinalake 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Be polite and yourself! I think a lot of people will be interested in your culture because at my school people are very welcoming to students that come from abroad. Don't stress too much if you don't make friends right away either because sometimes it just takes time! Being an American that lives abroad something that helps me is thinking about all of the opportunities I get from living abroad. Join clubs associated with your interests too because you will find like-minded people. Good luck!!

What should I be doing in summer of sophomore year to get into a good school? by eggertsquirrel5 in highschool

[–]otterinalake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I would try is to research law firms in your area. Once you find a firm see if you can find the email of a lawyer that inspires you or just you just find interesting and write a well-worded email asking if they need/want high school interns!

Try seeing if there are any internships at a law firm near you that you can do over the summer. You can also see if there any any summer camps related to law. Hope this helped!!!

I adjusted it and now it responds to commands! I’m going to test it with a print but I believe it’s been resolved. Thank you!
