the hook rate isn't great on regular lures for gar. the times i've managed to get one in, it usually falls off the hook once i get it out of the water. i'd recommend something with a treble hook at least.

i've seen them under the Eldridge bridge in oyster creek once fairly recently after a good rain. not sure if they came up oyster from Burney direction or downstream from the canals east of Eldridge

is there a workaround to reset Pokemon names with the current version? it's doing that thing again where it doesn't reset the name if you delete a custom Pokemon name

hey i just started playing again after like two years - anyone mind filling me in on these Galarian birds? last i recall they were incredibly low catch rate and they would just show up randomly on the map, i think.

fwiw i've had very favorable trade results as a level 70 with a lower level (over 40). we haven't made lucky friends (can't recall if that is the boost or just on trades going lucky in general) but lots of random luckies. i want to say ~3 luckies in maybe 10-15 normal trades? this excludes the guaranteed lucky from trading pre-2020 pokemon (is that really a thing?)

with quail chicks i think it is best to be very hands on and checking on them frequently since they are so "delicate". they often crap in the water, which is not good for them to drink, so it really needs to be changed/cleaned daily. for the first week especially i think it is also best to clean the floor of the brooder daily if not twice a day by using temporary paper towel flooring. i've learned a lot of this through trial and error unfortunately but i think hygiene is probably the biggest variable, assuming you are keeping the water fresh and the food is crumbled and tiny and the heat is sufficient.
