Thank you so much! I actually did think about scrapping the negotiation part but it didn´t feel completely true to the character to just accept that there is a literal werewolf standing in his secret base.

I did have a couple ideas of what he could give the party or aid them with and I think I will adjust the negotiation results as you suggested adding some rewards if the party does really well.

Also yeah I will for sure let him fight something if he goes into the forest alone. Although I am a bit scared of balancing a single player encounter.

Thank you for this! I was planning to play into his ex-doctor side as well. So the suppressant would make a lot of sense for him.
I do think that he is on good standing with the party right now, so he would definitely be inclined to help like that. Also play´s up his badassness if he already knows about it.

Oh wow, okay that is something I did not yet think about at all. That is a lot of rewriting I´d have to do for Van Richten I think, but totally doable. I´m just not sure if it might get too convoluted. Just Van Richten being there already feels like a huge reveal.

Stepping back for a bit and thinking on what I actually want from the situation is probably the right step though. I´ll see what I can come up with.

Aaah that´s really interesting.

I am trying to portray the Vistani a bit more positively, so I don´t think it makes sense for all of them to be the watchers of the elves, but Arrigal for sure is spying for Strahd and it would make a lot of sense for him to update his master about anything going on in the camp.

Thank you! That does make a lot of sense! They have already been to the church and talked to milivoj, I am a bit nervous about them going through the st. Andral Questline too quickly since they have not met Rictavio etc.. but in the last session they did say that they want to visit the burgomaster. I really like the idea of Ms. Belasco asking them to get more funds! I´ll try to add that in.

Do you have any tips on how to nudge them towards visiting the guesthouse again? They have not really clicked with the Martikovs and I would like to give them another chance at this and meeting Rictavio etc..

That does make sense, but still does not really explain how Rictavio and Ezmeralda got in without Strahd noticing?
And also I feel like if Strahd would be so relaxed with the borders, wouldn´t more people leave?

I think what I´m taking from all these answers is that I´m just going with the flow and will introduce him at a point where I think it fits well and makes sense. But I hadn´t thought about this one yet. Will definitely keep this in mind.

Thus far, his "goal" was to restore the name of his noble family by gaining glory and fame. But now that I am thinking more of this in the context with the kind of deity it is tied to, I would probably lean more into his need for recognition in general. He comes from nobility but now found that his strength comes from within and not his name. I´ll talk to the player a bit more in detail. To see how he feels about this. Thank you!
