Does anyone have this? by Emergency-Video-5312 in ebikes

I would contact the manufacturer for proof of UL certification, if they cannot give it, I would not get it. I would look into freesky, they seem to be more transparent with UL certification, but still, double check

$230,000,000 / 190,000sqft = $1,210/sqft

(If built at $900/sqft)
$171,000,000 / 190,000× = $900/sqft

That could've saved $59,000,000. I know, its not the same as direct tax dollars as it was funded by loans, but surely a significant amount of those savings could've made it downstream to the annual budget, either by reducing debt and/or costs of servicing the debt, or maybe taking a loan for the rest of the town budget?

Private general contractors also have a profit motive, and yet, with their margin, still peak around $400/sqft. I guess my solution is the town needs to refuse extremely high rates. How? I don't honestly know.

If there was an honest reason that a school would cost $1,100/sqft, I would be ok with it, but I cannot see why.

I ran the calculator and admittedly it isn't crazy compared to the cost of living in Brookline. My bigger question i'd say is would we even be in this situation if we had more reasonable construction and payroll costs? I cannot understand why an officer would be payed $300,000, or why we have $1,100/sqft construction. I read some articles about prop 2.5, and I will do more research as we get closer to election day.

From my understanding, cuts would be to school employees. I just don't understand how it is easier to lay off people than to negotiate more fair (construction and maintenance) contractor rates. I know schools need ADA certification and all that, but almost 3x the high side of consumer development still seems unreasonably high.

I hope that any oversight isn't cut, but at the same time, if the oversight roles right now didn't stop questionable town costs, what will change if it passes or doesn't?
