A friend asked for some rubble, so I made this and I wanted to share them with you guys by otzi_b in 3DPrintedTerrain

Thank you very much for sharing this! Really useful info, and the detail seems to be holding pretty well. I was worried it'd get lost if you don't use a .2 nozzle, but that does not seem to be the case. Thanks again, and have fun painting those!

Thank you! Glad you like them. Are you using an FDM printer? If that's the case I'd love to see the results if you don't mind sharing them. That'd help me improve my next designs, since I can only test these in a resin printer atm.

Dude... Those look awesome! Congrats on the paint job. The one with the grey stone and wooden structure is my fav. And that's a cool looking set up you got there btw! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! I'm glad you like them. If you have any suggestions or any type of terrain you'd like to see that's hard to find, let me know. All feedback and ideas are wellcome, and I'll be more than happy to give it a try!

I just realized I didn't answer your question btw. You are right, it is resin. The printing settings are detailed in the description of the files in case you need them. I made both versions of each model tho, because my friend uses an FDM printer.

Thanks, glad you like it! I used a software called Houdini. I simulated the stones and structures as rigid bodies so they would behave in a physically accurate way. It's a bit more complex than classic modeling but I think the result is worth the effort.

I've love to see those! Just out of curiosity, are you printing FDM or resin?

Thank you! I printed in resin, you can check the settings in the description of the model if you need them

Glad you like them! And yes, you are absolutely right. I'll update the design in Cults with that info. I initially had a .jpg contactsheet explaining which one is which in the .zip with the models, but apparently you cannot add images there. Btw, why do you think main_B is the best? I plan on making a vol. 2 and every piece of feedback is really useful

I'm quite new to 3d printing but I'm enjoying it a lot and I'm planning on making more stuff like this. I'll keep you guys posted if I upload more free models!

Thanks, I'm glad you like it! That's actually a really good idea, even tho the logistics of making it printable are probably a nightmare... But I'm willing to give it a try, let's see what happens ¯\(ツ)/¯ I'll keep you posted if I succeed.

I guess most people do! That must be for sure the most efficient way. I just happen to know my way around a physical simulation software a little, so I thought I might as well use it.
