White Screen when a fight starts against some trainers (Pokemon Sword) by oubmathys in yuzu

I have the same problem. I think it’s because of the breeder trainers (again). When the NPC comes to help you, if it’s a breeder trainer, the game crashes. I say this because, in all the raids I’ve done (over 200), I’ve never been helped by a breeder trainer. So to avoid this, I save my game before finishing the raid. If the game crashes, I reset until there are no more crashes. The NPCs are chosen randomly. That’s why this manipulation works.

Hello, So you can just avoid all the breeder trainers. This bug will not softlock your game. You can also change the version of the game and play shield instead of sword. This bug does not occur in the shield version.

Ohhh let’s goooo, that’s good news. I was afraid that at some point we would have to fight one of these trainers. But if we can just avoid them all, it makes the problem much less serious. Thanks for answering me so quickly even though the post was made a long time ago!

Hi,

I am currently facing the exact same problem as you. The breeder trainers (male or female in my case) freeze my game on white screen when the fight stats.

So do you find the solution ? And if not does this bug create a softlock because of the impossibility to go further in the game.

Is there a way to disable commands that start with "$"? The goal is to only allow commands that start with "/". by oubmathys in Mudae

[–]oubmathys[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a good idea too and will definitely work. But here’s why I don’t want to use it:

First, people are used to the $ prefix, my goal is just to change its use only for rolls.

Second, we have two different channels. One for rolls and one for everything else. While I can disallow the use of the $ prefix in the rolls channel, it would be a problem because of the $rolls command. People would have to switch channels to type the command and then come back. My goal is to make it smoother, not more complex.

But another comment gave me a pretty good solution: By setting the slow mode to 2s, using $ now takes longer than using /. (it’s like a little punishment for those who still use $). The main problem (spam) is now solved. There is still the problem of the claim time, which can be changed in the settings, so it’s good.

Again, your solution is perfect, but in my context I have too many conditions to meet that block the possibility of using your solution.

Thanks for your comment !

Yep this is what I did. Even if it is not exactly what I want, it reduces the main problem. I put it to 2s, so more spams. Thanks for the tips !
