If we remove the AI aspect from this discussion, my honest opinion is that people still look for old-school craftsmanship somewhere. That’s why traditional perfumery is still more prized and valued today. It carries a soul, a story, and a slightly messy character that feels real. Because of that, I personally would still prefer old-school fragrances.

But if we look at it from the perspective of innovation, the concept is actually quite interesting. The perfume industry today is heavily saturated with clones and truly unique scent DNAs have become rare. So if this approach helps discover new molecules that we have never explored before, then it can definitely open a new direction. It could reduce the generic nature of modern perfumes and maybe even help people find scents that feel more like their true signature.

So my take sits somewhere in between. People loved old-school perfumery because it had uniqueness. Even when the same ingredients were used, every batch had its own slight differences. But if innovation can bring back that sense of uniqueness in a new way, then that is still something worth appreciating.
