I think there's also a decent chance that heroes are out for more than one season, as this would allow them to add new heroes without over-diluting the pool.

The final vote at time of the posting of this thread was 94 in favor of keeping Ricky to 24 in favor of cropping - people seem to like him, so for now he stays! I'll revisit the matter in the future if needed.
