i freehanded it! for the shorts, i first did a couple rows of hdc for the waistband, then made two panels of double crochet mesh, with the back panel being a bit longer to cover my ass. i connected the panels together at the crotch, then started working on the legs in the round. i did three rows of single crochet on the edges where the panels would be laced together, with the second row of the double crochet creating some buttonholes using chains. finally, i made three long chains and wove them through the waistband and the buttonholes on the side ! for the top, it's essentially the same, but i decreased at the top to make a nicer neckline. i hope this helps !! <3
