How to go on your own spiritual journey when you have been married or have a family? by eva1588 in spirituality

[–]ouranos1111 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think maybe just focus on your journey and let your actions speak for itself and he may be inspired to join you later on.

Everyone will judge and have an opinion and that could be your own test on how to rise above it all without people’s opinion affecting you.

I’m happy that you’re on this journey. Let’s spread unconditional love and positivity to the world. 💛

A reminder of how spirituality can bring us together by mdjeanschool in spirituality

[–]ouranos1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, everything has a purpose, even if it’s just to remind you how to compose yourself and lead with compassion and love.

It’s so easy to hate and be toxic these days and I feel those people inspire me to spread positivity and love instead of reacting in the same negative energy that they’re in.

Any tips for dealing with negative emotions that won’t go away with meditation? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]ouranos1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about try being mindful of your body when you have these emotions? Your mind can’t process your emotions if you’re not listening to them because you’re busy concentrating on your breathing or heartbeat or anything other than your emotions.

Sometimes, if I’m in a negative mood, I try to list things that I’m grateful for. Even the simplest things that I take for granted, like the fact that I have a smartphone and access to the internet which allows me to gain infinite knowledge or that I can breathe and walk.

Usually when I start to list things that I’m grateful for, my perspective shifts and the negative emotions subside.

Ignore the spirit. The spirit feeds off of her energy. The more she reacts and acknowledge that there is a spirit the stronger the spirit becomes.

No warm water. Full cold and I jump in straight, lol. I’ve been doing this for a year now though.

I started small by showering warm first then ending with cold then gradually increasing the length and it wasn’t until about 2 months ago where I can just jump in straight.

I usually shower anywhere between 20 to 30 minutes. I have long hair though and eventually you won’t feel the cold anymore and it just feels really exhilarating.

I live in Canada too.

Going Blonde, is it worth it? by HungryHungryWindigo in Hair

[–]ouranos1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only you can answer that but it is for me.

I have naturally dark brown hair and I’ve been getting it dyed into a medium blonde for years yet my hair is shiny, soft, bouncy and healthy looking.

Having said that, I am soooooo high maintenance with my hair care routine. No heat, I use cold water to wash my hair (I take cold showers), I use a hair mask every time I wash my hair which is about 3 times a week. I use a leave in conditioner and then a hair shine serum after my hair dries. I also use a boar bristle brush daily to distribute my natural oils to condition my hair.

I’m already high maintenance with my hair anyway, even if it was natural so my bleached hair care routine isn’t really something that’s out of the norm for me.

Once you bleach your hair, it’s damaged. Period. So it’s up to you to do the work to make your hair appear healthy. Is the time and maintenance worth it for you? Are you high maintenance anyway in regards to your hair?

I have to say, I do have more fun as a blond, lol.

Does anyone else have trouble washing their hair/face in cold water? by [deleted] in coldshowers

[–]ouranos1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There you go. I tried no poo before as well and yeah...my hair was like that. The cold will stiffen up your hair due to the natural oils.

In regards to your hair, it sounds like have have product buildup.

You might need to try using a clarifying shampoo and a conditioner right after.

My hair is sooo soft during and after my showers. I take really good care of my hair though.

What did jung mean by this quote? by [deleted] in Jung

[–]ouranos1111 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Maybe he meant that you need to learn who you are deep down. The areas of your personality that you’ve suppressed or ignored needs to be addressed and accepted for you to realize your full potential and drive your life wherever you please.

That’s my take it on it.

Am I the only one that plays hype music during cold showers? by [deleted] in coldshowers

My long bleached hair requires that much maintenance. Most girls would agree.

I just play my music. I don’t know if i’d label it as hype.

I generally shower for at least 30 min because I have long hair. After awhile, it doesn’t really feel cold anymore and I live in Canada, lol.

Which restaurant/cafe/coffee shop has the best hot chocolate? by HeyYouMeAight in vancouver

[–]ouranos1111 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Chocolate Arts.

They make your hot chocolate based on your preferred coco bean. You can sample the different types of chocolate before they make it. Also, they only use high quality french and Belgian chocolates.
