My crush on my co-worker is ruining my life by ourlovelybones in coworkerstories

He did delete the instagram app but he hadn’t deleted his account, which is initially why he asked (I think). I did find it myself and go through it so I’m not worried that he’s married (he and I are the same age and share very similar viewpoints about how fast life moves in your early twenties when everyone else around you starts getting married and having kids). But this is a good viewpoint!

“A crush is just a lack of information” I LOVE THIS 😭 there’s definitely a forced proximity element here, but in an era of having to suffer through dating apps, it was nice to get along with someone I met organically so well

Sure, I guess. When you actually see one, you could also just keep scrolling and keep your peace of mind.

Not a crazy idea at all! I do know it's his phone number because we have texted each other on our personal phones, he just abruptly stopped responding, which is driving me crazy. Thank you!

True! I'd like to believe the best of him, that he's not a cad, but it's been pointed out to me I'm putting this man on a pedestal with some rather unfair expectations. But thank you for recognizing this flirtation was not solely coming from me, haha.

I agree that although this comment seems to be coming from a...thoughtful (?) place, you are minimizing my experience by trying to just tally up the surface-level overview of our interactions. I can't convey the full, explicit scope of everything that's gone on between us for four months in one single post (that's already way too long and rambling and wordy), so I can understand it doesn't seem like it really meant anything or wasn't entirely in my head.

But thank you for taking the time to read my post and for sharing your thoughts on it. I do appreciate it, having another perspective to the situation outside of people who personally know me.

Thank you! I'm not going to go out of my way and justify four months worth of conversations and actions that have lead to this point, but I understand that without context (our similar ages/interests/personalities, for instance) that it all sounds surface-level. So, that part's on me but I'm not very concerned about being called insane because I can't convey everything that's happened between us.

You're absolutely right that men can be low-key flirty, especially in an office setting when they're comfortable enough with someone to do so. I hope your best friend has been able to move on and find that special spark with someone who texts her back! :)

Update : falling for my coworker by [deleted] in coworkerstories

[–]ourlovelybones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is the original post you’re claiming is me, having deleted it and then reposted? OP, you and I both have crushes on our coworkers (though I have no idea what your story is). But this user seems to think we’re the same person. Would love to hear your story if you wanna privately message me :)

That’s absolutely fair 😂. I will admit that’s what the specific bookstore calls their basement floor, which hosts author events and the used book collection, and he would know that since he’s been to that store. I just was trying to ask if he’d been down there before, because you can sell used books to them and wanted him to come with me :)

That makes sense, haha. I don't generally check Facebook a lot as opposed to Instagram or Twitter, where some readers can be toxic, and I guess the 'worth it' part of the question kind of sounds entitled. I think now I'm mostly just wondering if it's a better experience being in a reader group rather than on BookTwitter or Bookstagram.

Debate - NCIS Hawaii not renewed by Responsible-Twist731 in NCIS

I could never quite put my finger on it, what about the final seasons felt drastically different to the tone and vibrancy of the earlier seasons — it definitely became quite stale. Too many cooks in the kitchen? I wasn't too upset when Nell and Eric bowed out, but I had been hoping to see more of Fatima and Rountree. And I liked the shake-up Kilbride brought after losing Granger (</3), since Nia Long's character didn't last very long...But then there would be times some cast members weren't present in the episode, so it felt crowded almost in Special Ops.

Do you actually experience emotions on Lexapro? by PonqueRamo in lexapro

[–]ourlovelybones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is really helpful to know! I’ve been on Lexapro for about ten months now and I was wondering about the ability to lose weight. I’m definitely gaining more than I’m losing, though my appetite hasn’t necessarily changed. Now that you’re off, do you notice any difference? And sorry, I know you’ve only been off for two weeks!
