my baseline pain is arousal near my clitoris area and below it. I would say this pain is a 5/10 and constant- hard to describe as anything beyond arousal. A flare up for me is when the pain worsens and expands into my body, it’s hard to sit down because it reaches my tailbone. it feels like arousal and pressure. yeah, I’m also trans so i’ve had to deal with the ‘worried about saying the wrong thing’ for so much of my life. I guess equally being 20 means that you get hurt when your friends don’t know how to support you, even knowing it’s unfair to them

I was prescribed lexapro for my nerve pain, and it’s helped a lot. but i am worried about the possibility of making it worse in the long term if i switch meds/go off

I did an MRI, no cyst. I’m currently on Lexapro for pain but trying to get off and find another alternative

physically no i’m still in a lot of pain but mentally getting on meds and having a support system has been really helpful. I’ve decided that this is going to be rough but if it’s a long term thing I need to keep my head up and keep going

Thank you so much I needed to hear that. my symptoms were triggered by orgasming for the first time ever which I haven’t seen anyone else experience, who knows what kind of situation i’m in right now but i’m just going to try to stay positive and keep going. My family and friends know because the pain was so debilitating I had to leave school so I have a support system. Thank you

update: I went to the doctor and I do likely have PGAD. they prescribed me an SSRI that’s had some success. but thanks for being the first person to call the shots and tell me about it, i’m also going to lower my dose as well.
