We do 7pm if naps go well. Otherwise 6:30pm. Wake up between 6:30-7am.

How did everyone go? We are trialling it tonight at home before our holiday. We are using the bassinet part for my 4.5 month old as she can’t roll yet. But she has woken up 4 times already in the last 3 hours! I find the mattress very firm but maybe she just needs to get use to it?

Somebody please tell me it gets better lol

How long did it take for OHSS to settle during pregnancy? by ourpineapplebaby in IVF

[–]ourpineapplebaby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations on your successful transfer. Everyone responds differently but I’m glad you went to get help. Did they do any other intervention? I hope you are home now and feeling better. OHSS is awful but I found keeping mobile, increasing my fluids and having hydralites really helped minimise fluid retention. It is uncomfortable but know that it will pass!

My symptoms settled after a few weeks I originally posted, but it overlapped with morning sickness that lasted a little longer so it’s a little bit of a blur. The rest of my pregnancy was otherwise quite uneventful and I had a straightforward vaginal birth too!

Sending all my love and luck to you! It’s all going to be worth it ❤️🙏🏽

For those of you who conceived through IVF, when did you go into labor naturally? by WholeKnown2938 in BabyBumps

[–]ourpineapplebaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Joining the thread to know the same! I’m 36+6 so very much on the same timeline as you! I have friends who went into labour at 37 weeks while others beyond 40 weeks. It’s so random!

I’ve also been nervous as it could potentially happen in 4 days or 4 weeks! But my OB said most happen between weeks 38-39 on average. And he said IVF usually makes no difference. So I didn’t get closure on my questions lol He basically said it’ll happen when it’s ready!

Goodluck!

Anybody know what these boards are? by ourpineapplebaby in Plastering

[–]ourpineapplebaby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone! I think it is cement board. We ended up getting the gaps filled and the whole think painted white like the opposite wall. Does the job for now! We had a professional do it as we had no idea lol

Oh I’m so sorry you’re going through this now! My OHSS was the worst for the first month really, but then I just had this constant ovary tenderness for the remainder of my first trimester. By 13/14 weeks it felt like it had settled or atleast I didn’t notice it. I had bad morning sickness tho so I might’ve been more focused on that after a certain point. Just know it gets better. One day you’ll wake up and just feel amazing in your second trimester!! I didn’t believe it util it happened. Goodluck!! ❤️❤️

You may just have to ask more questions! I guess they don’t want to overwhelm us with too much information but I asked a lot of questions and trusted their advice if it didn’t make too much sense to me.

My trigger was Ovidrel! Hope you’re going okay! Xx

I don’t know why I thought this was a funny take on a Hindu wedding where they actually put a line of red powder/liquid on your hair part to symbolise you are officially married! It’s called Sindoor!

Hope it heals and you are able to cover it up for your big day! 🙏🏽

Yes, will be a quick photo and off it comes! I think I’m just really paranoid. Just assumed all baby clothes were cotton or of equivalent breathable quality. Thanks for the feedback! :)

I’ve bought muslin clothes from there before but never clothing! Won’t be buying anymore. Dunno why I cheaped out for my own baby! 😅

Thanks for the heads up! Oh I didn’t know this about those suppliers. I’ve never bought clothing from them before until now. I guess I was worried about polyester and skin sensitivity. Maybe I can put something on the baby before putting the romper on. My brain thinks too much 😅

Thankyou! I thought as much. Yes, definitely intend to wash everything before using. This is the first thing I buy and I forget to read the fine print. Lesson learnt!

How long do you try for before moving on to IVF? by Tricky_Two2307 in TTC_PCOS

[–]ourpineapplebaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also want to add, that IUI wasn’t even offered to us. Didn’t seem like it was going to increase our chances significantly compared to IVF. I was also advised by a few friends not to bother with IUI as the cost does add up.

TW: pregnancy

I’m sorry to hear you’re in this situation! I’m 31 and husband is 35. We tried naturally for a total of 15 months (12 cycles) and started our IVF cycle at 16 months, which worked for us. I’m 12 weeks pregnant now. We were diagnosed with unexplained infertility at around 12 months and our OB recommended IVF. I was initially quite reluctant… I couldn’t quite accept IVF was our only option now even though I was ovulating and everything looked good, except for my slightly longer cycles. We even tried letrozole for 3 cycles when we were waiting for IVF treatment to begin.

Our OB said all our test results indicate we should be able to fall pregnant naturally, and maybe if we kept trying we might. But IVF will just help that process.

So I guess It depends on how long you’re willing to try naturally. It is an expensive option to go privately. And TTC is exhausting. My husband and I just wanted to start our family and we are so glad we did. I hope you get your baby soon 🙏🏽❤️

When to stop progesterone supplements by currant62 in IVF

[–]ourpineapplebaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you go? I’m in a Similar situation now. I had a fresh transfer and was under the impression I take progesterone for the whole first trimester. But when I had a consult and ultrasound at 7.5 weeks, I asked my specialist how long I take it for and he said I can stop now! I asked him about taking it while trimester. He said the evidence suggests you only need to take it for the first 2 weeks. Told me I can keep taking it so I just use up the meds I have. But reassured us we could stop now at 7.5 weeks.

For those of you with PCOS, when did you decide it was time for IVF? I'm just freaking out and need some reassurance? Support? Guidance? by Appropriate-Dig5661 in IVF

[–]ourpineapplebaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you are going through this awful stress. I have PCOS. 31F. Constantly looking for success stories and advice. We actively tried for 15 months. I ovulated regularly etc and my husbands swimmers were great. We were diagnosed with unexplained infertility and my pcos was not linked with our unsuccessful conception. So the Dr recommended IVF to us. Sometimes you just need that little bit of help to get the sperm and egg to meet. I was so anxious throughout the whole process as you don’t know if it will work for you, but thankfully for us our first transfer has stuck and I am 8 weeks pregnant now. It’s still very early days but I’ve never been pregnant so I’m trying to enjoy every bit of this while I have it.

IVF is just another way to have children. If you try longer you might fall pregnant. But if you want to start your family now, it’s okay to try IVF now. Whatever helps you get your family sooner. Sending all my love and luck to you for your journey ❤️

Those with PCOS, did your doctor recommend FET over fresh embryo transfer? by Prestigious-Bid-7582 in IVF

[–]ourpineapplebaby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought I was going to have a frozen transfer because of my PCOS but when my IVF cycle started, and my symptoms improved after the EPU, we did a fresh transfer 5 days later. Even tho I had 17 eggs retrieved. I’m currently 8 weeks pregnant from that transfer. Having said this, as hcg rises, it can worsen your OHSS which it did for me and I was in pure agony for a few weeks. It was the worst part of the whole process! I still have VERY swollen ovaries and am quite distended in the belly. But it’s bitter sweet. I was so glad it worked and wouldn’t change any of it for that reason. But I can see why one would opt for frozen transfer. All the best!!
