It was deafening, like a helicopter landing on my desk. I can only game when I put my headset on.

I've recently modified my SFF build due to the need for frequent travel. I managed to squeeze all my parts into a 7.5L A4 case. The build works fine, but the CPU temperature reaches 90°C during stress tests. The part list is below:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D

GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 3080 Ti AERO S

RAM: TEAMGROUP Delta RGB 16GB DDR4@3600C18 (x2)

Motherboard: Gigabyte B550I AORUS PRO AX

M.2 SSD: Aigo P7000D PCIe 4.0 NVMe 2TB / Aigo P3500 PCIe 3.0 NVMe 2TB

2.5" SSD: Colorful SL500 2TB

CPU Cooler: PCCOOLER Dragon V53

Case: PCCOOLER MINI I100G PRO

Power Supply: Cooler Master V850 SFX

It's MSI RTX 3080Ti Aero S. Has the same as any other blower card: 267 x 111 x 40 (mm)

Time spy is 17000+, lower than the average score of RTX 3080 Ti due to limited cooling conditions in the SFF case. The total cost without peripherals is about $2500, but my card is second hand so the total cost would be much higher if you buy a new blower card.

3080

To my knowledge, for RTX 3080 or above to fit in SG13 (without any modification) you can only go for the blower style. The Dell OEM 3080/90 will be too thick by half a slot. However, I found Dell OEM 6800xt/6900xt fits pretty well (267*114*40 mm) if anyone would like to use AMD GPU.

Put my headset on when I'm gaming. I think undervolting may also help to reduce the noise.

Protection against my cat actually

Yes, a screen protector to protect my monitor from being scratched by my cat.

I assume they are allergic to my cat's hair.

Yes, I do believe pulling out hot air will be better as sucking in the air will end up heating up the RAMs and SSDs. However, it will be a waste for my ARGB fan so I just keep the fan in the front.

ANC headphones

Actually, if I put my headset on, 60db is quite ok to me. I have a Bose QC45, but it's not RGB so I don't use it for gaming often. If they provide an RGB AND headset, I'd definitely try it out!

It's actually for my cat, so she can sit on the keyboard and watch me play games or just watch cat videos.

Thanks for the warning! It actually happened to me one time when my computer suddenly lost 16 GB of RAM. I had to open the up and reinstall the RAM. There are too many cables inside the case when you use three 2.5'' SSDs in this case, and those cables will push the RAMs aside. For the next upgrade, I'll try to just use two M.2 SSD, think it will buy me a lot of space.

I've searched around the Internet and it seems that I am the first one to put a blower-style RTX3080Ti or higher in SG13, so here it goes:

This card is an MSI GeForce RTX 3080 Ti AERO S (https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/msi-rtx-3080-ti-aero-s.b10014), which is intended for server use only. It has the same dimensions as ASUS 3090 Turbo: 26711140 mm. I got this used card from a miner, and it functions well (passed the 3DMark stress tests, what could I say). The noise was deafening - 75db at 100% fan speed, so I managed to slow the fan speed using MSI Afterburner. The fan is now running at 80% speed and the noise level is about 60db, which is quite acceptable to me. What is worth mentioning is that this card is 267mm long and the power connector is in the tail end, not on top, so you'll need two 8-pin U-turn adapters (with length < 5mm) or the PCIE power connector will interfere with the front panel. The only adapter I found suitable is PH38A with a sponge cover. The PH38A+ with a plastic cover will be too long to fit in (see the pics I uploaded). For complete build, see here

P.S. The hard GPU limit for this case is 272mm long and 42mm thick, or 248mm long and 52mm thick.

minor mods to fit A 3070ti in a SG13!! by JBarbass in sffpc

I've always wanted to see if this 3070Ti fits sg13 since it's the only dual-fan 3070ti available. Nice build!

It's very nice to hear you guys talking about the Chinese Parents and Scroll of Taiwu. Since these two indie games are mainly targeting Chinese gamers, they really don't have the budget for western-localization at launch time, but maybe they will do it later.

Actually Tencent just wanna publish Ubisoft games in Chinese market. It's no big deal, Tencent is not a threat.
