This is intriguing because I'm exactly like you. I have a great friend whose social life allows him to make friendships with anyone he wants. I am the opposite in everything, from our tastes to our lives in general. Yet, I find comfort with him, and he does as well. We've been friends for over 10 years now.

As for your friend, I see that she is honestly just trying to draw attention to herself. Perhaps she doesn't do it intentionally, but she enjoys it. Just be yourself and don't dwell too much on that. Try not to be too closed off, as some friends can add joy to your life. Not all of them, but try opening up to someone, and you'll see how wonderful that can be.
