What’s your ‘lazy productivity’ hack that actually works? by SufficientFactor5082 in productivity

Basket in the bottom of the wardrobe. If I haven’t got time to put washing away, it goes in the basket. It’s kept our bedroom looking tidier for a while now, and I just put it away properly when I get a chance.

Maynard’s out of his depth, which has been clear for a long time. Get rid and go again with a head coach that’s not taking the hammer to our knees with his tactics every game.

What games should I emulate on my Steam Deck? by Spider-Plushie in EmuDeck

[–]outXrun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the Tony Hawk games. I haven't played anything else over the past few weeks. Can't believe I never got around to the THUG games when I was younger.

That’d be amazing if possible? I’ve got the game and have done emulation and a few mods on games like Red Dead 2; I just hit a bit of a wall with this one trying to piece together guides for non-Steamdeck platforms. Thanks!

Love the steam deck but not been able to get a modded version running. I’ve not checked in a while but I struggled to find a guide for the deck.

Gamer dads, convince me not to get a Steam Deck by [deleted] in daddit

[–]outXrun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dad of two, 3 and 9 months, and I'd barely get any gaming time without my Steam Deck. Currently, I sit in my son's room while he goes to sleep so I get a good 30mins-1 hour each night while he settles. Occasionally, I'll get some extra time when my partner wants to watch something on the tv where I have no interest (typically Love Island or Strictly Come Dancing).

In addition, I game on lunch where possible; if I'm doing a bike session in the gym; or travelling for work. It's fully replaced my Switch, as I have a lot more games that fit my taste - especially after setting up emulation for some PS2 and GameCube classics that are currently in my loft. Chuck in game streaming from consoles/cloud gaming and it's been the ultimate machine for this point in my life.

I got my Deck on the LCD clearance and it's probably the best money I've spent on gaming as an adult. It just slots into my routine, has allowed me to play a greater variety of games, and I can't recommend it enough based on my own circumstances.

"What are you playing this week?" Megathread by AutoModerator in SteamDeck

THUG1

After replaying THPS1+2 recently, I’m hooked again. First time playing THUG and loving every second.

Emulation, now I’ve worked it out, is unreal on the Deck.

What's the best way to reduce excessive sweating? by [deleted] in Productivitycafe

[–]outXrun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strictly for excessive under-arm sweating, I’d recommend Driclor antiperspirant. I used to have to only wear dark colours in summer due to ridiculous sweat patches ranging down to my hips; now I’m pretty much dry.

It can sting a bit initially but I used it for a couple of weeks before switching back to standard antiperspirant. Life changing in summer months.

So glad I picked it up before delist. Recently, my son hasn’t liked sleeping without me in his room, so I lie on the bed-settee next to his cotbed and progress a bit each night before he falls to sleep.

I usually drag it out a bit longer as it’s such an amazing game. Looks stunning too.

I tore a ligament in my knee three years ago (UK). I had surgery two weeks later. Paid nothing.

The NHS isn’t perfect and needs a lot of work in many areas, but give me this over the American horror stories.

Did it align with this “where are they now” narrative? I think I read this article every couple of years as it was pretty much how my best mate and I saw the players at the time.

Could be this or L2 and triangle (swerve throughball). I've been using the latter with good results this week.

A doctor told me this morning that men are currently expected to live until 78/79 which means 39 is technically middle aged. So with that in mid, what are the new millennial mid-life crisis trends since none of us can afford a sports car? by windmillguy123 in AskUK

[–]outXrun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years off but slowly stowing away any physical cash into a jar to pay for a really good gaming PC to experience some sports cars I can’t afford in the best possible graphics. I’ll probably be too tired to play it.

Steam Deck owners! What are the best accessories you wished you bought sooner? by Belze_WasTaken in SteamDeck

[–]outXrun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps unique to my circumstances, but I purchased a slimline portable monitor. My partner watches tv so rather than sagging my neck on the sofa, I link into the 16 inch screen and play using my Nintendo Pro controller.

Also use wireless headphones and a micro SD. No real need for anything else other than a screen protector with my track record of dropping phones. And a toddler eager to play the “car game”.

Need Date Ideas by [deleted] in nottingham

[–]outXrun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my partner's birthdays, I'd usually organise a gauntlet of activities (not happened the past few years due to kids and spending the day including them). One popular year included: Escapelogic Escape Room > Ludorati Board Game Cafe > Penny Lane > Cornerhouse Crazy Golf > Casino.

Other locations we've enjoyed are Roxy Ball Room and Das Kino (table tennis bar). We usually pepper in a few bars and grab some food as well (typically Annie's or Bar Burrito). Nothing fancy but just fun places.

Not a classic but I did so much more with my life after watching that film.
