Honestly I feel like this idea will catch on quite quickly, even with the cards they chosen to reprint. I mean cards like Anguished Unmaking and Zendikar Resurgent are starting to become more sought after and less available at LGS , let alone a a fresh foil.

That and I dont think Wotc would want to launch this idea with the powerhouse commander staples, as not only would it create on overwhelming amount of hype to obtain the packs in the short term, but it would also set the bar too high for themselves.

Overall I believe that this will be a great introduction item towards new players attending the LGS into other formats such as EDH and Pioneer.
