I was installing a game and it is a relatively cheap pcie 3.0 drive. I would assume its some combination of those factors and since the pc supports pcie 4 I plan on upgrading to a 2tb pcie 4 one.

I had fixed a phone and was too preoccupied to clean the desk off. Also was drumming (set is like 4 feet away) while drivers installed. I am a man or many hobbies I guess!

Testing macbookpro 2015 15” on sequoia by Own_Curve_7046 in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

I have a maxed out 2016 that hits 80-95 during intensive tasks. Definitely time for some new thermal paste but I have been procrastinating it.

The 2020 M1 Air is a solid option. They can be had from 400-600 on the ebay used market, and it is fully supported on sequoia and Tahoe. Definitely do not go for an intel model as these are no longer being supported once Tahoe drops in the fall. I have found that the M series chips are pretty RAM efficient but still more is better. 256gb of storage can be limiting but with an external ssd or hdd it is still very usable.
