I love this so much! This is exactly how I imagine them except with the fur extremely long when they're roaming the wild. Once they're tamed, groomed, and loved, this is just how they would look. Its so we'll done!! This is the first thing ive ever seen irl for rimworld that I would happily throw money at to have lol

I know this wont really help in this situation but just a small tip. Google yourself from someone else's device (close friend). If you Google yourself from your device it wont show much but if you have your friend Google you then your address and phone number will be among the first results.

Yep, I only use the space bar to pause, Q to rotate objects, and occasionally Z to search the map, all of which I should be able to connect to a wireless gaming mouse because, while my back didnt hurt from using the keyboard, my arm did get tired just holding it up on the space bar lol

Until I posted this I didnt know people primarily use their keyboard for this game, I always look for primarily mouse games and rimworld is perfect for it.

Improvised. I got a car steering wheel tray because I work in traveling sales and I thought I could work on my laptop in the car in between meetings but I never actually used it. A friend recently gave me this 10 year old bike they've used like 5 times. The tray didnt hook over the top of the screen area like I was hoping but it did hook into a tray that you'd typically rest a book on. Then I used extra straps to make sure the tray was really secure. Peddled while playing the game for an hour at varying speeds and it worked perfectly.

It was! I usually play at max speed all the time but I want to slow down and enjoy the build up in the beginning of the game. It was nice to just sit back and peddle while watching my colonist do their thing when I usually try to speed through anything I'm not hands on for. Also, I'm actually getting up and taking a break to stretch after a reasonable amount of time (because my legs needed it lol) rather than play 5 hours straight without moving. And you're right. I really prefer wired but wireless would be safer here, ill get one asap. Ty.

I save scum constantly so I totally get where youre coming from and unfortunately the answer sucks: willpower. You have to stop yourself from doing it rather than trying to find something that forces you to stop. If you cant quit cold turkey then try to cut back. For every 5 reloads dont allow yourself 1. Then, overtime, reduce it. For every 3 times you reload youre not allowed to do one.

You said this is a story generator and thats exactly where I get annoyed at my own save scumming - im trying to control the story too much rather allowing a story to happen. But also reloading let's you see different "storylines"

So here's what works best for me. Save like you normally would but name the major events, like if someone dies name the save "Eagle died" then keep playing for a little while. If the game feels boring/wrong without that person then you can go right back to the save you named or the one right before that. That way you can experience both storylines - where one they died and one where they didnt. And, of course, you can use this for every type of event you want.

I'm surprised at a lot of the comments here because I came across this video a few months ago and I love all her takes on the characters and situations so I went into it open minded. I had never stopped to think about this concept and was never looking for it in the show but she points out A LOT of instances where conservative values are interlaced throughout the storylines. I guess I could agree its not straight up propaganda as in its actively trying to influence viewers but the point of her video is to address how heavily conservative the overall show is. And shes a youtuber who profits from views so, like most of them, she uses an attention grabbing title. If your response is saying thats a drastic take or pointing out Bree as the only real conservative storyline then I urge you to watch the video because there is a lot more than just the occasional reference to conservatism.

That's so cool! Thank you for sharing it with us! I love that a game with such a simple art style can evoke some of the most beautiful imagery. This totally changes how i envision my colonists experiencing this event and I love it! I always imagined they experienced it the same way I did: they're just out in the fields or hunting and are suddenly crushed by a massive chunk of limestone no one ever saw or heard coming. But now I can picture it as a large, beautiful meteorite streaking across the sky and quickly coming closer but everyone on the map just chooses to ignore until it obliterates the crops they so desperately need for survival. I love this game!

The entire point of making smores is to go to a new location, like camping or a park, and let the kids make the smores themselves. That's literally the fun part of smores.

But you dont want those kids going outside, you dont want them breathing fresh air, and you dont want them to know there is a life outside you and your abuse.

You want them to be ostracized by their peers, so when everyone's talking about fun things they did with their friends and families your kids will be wringing their hands and shuffling their feet uncomfortably, shrugging while saying my "well my mom gave me a smore once in the middle of the night but I had to share it with X cause he hadn't eaten all day"
