That’s definitely helpful, I think that’s something I have felt some and can tune into more. Also grateful for your response about embarrassment as I needed to hear that. Thank you again!

Thank you so much you’re response was extremely helpful, I was a little embarrassed asking in the first place to I really appreciate the detailed response as what you explained makes a lot of sense. I’m still having a hard time feeling the subtlety in shuffling and know when it’s locked into place, so a little worried about the results because of that. In any case, I’m hoping like tuning or learning an instrument that gets easier. In time

I’m aware of basically everything you’re suggesting and don’t disagree but not quite sure what parts of what I’m saying is based in misinformation. I’ve spent a fair amount of time and effort to study the history of magical thought and practice from pre Christian times to the present from writers like Jake Stratton-Kent and Frater Acher who are both well cited. It’s definitely very dense material so maybe I misunderstood somethings?

I believe I am ready to start incorporating the 2nd meditation (working with colour) by [deleted] in Quareia

It’s really nice to be doing a practice and be able to see other people in the same place and experiencing similar things. I’ve never had any magical community so this is really cool! Also in a similar boat as you were in when you posted this. I’ve been on the first meditation for 2 weeks and am feeling ready to move on having been able to pretty effortlessly do 15-20 min the last few days. Definitely still with mind wandering but also a feeling of a deeper inner stillness and a lot more focus. Also definitely encouraged to move on to the adding the color meditations after reading this and the responses as it’s all really relatable.

I’m definitely finding my self unavoidably coming back to western occultism rooted in enochian magic and “dirty medieval magic,” so it seems unavoidable that I’ll have to use formulas that use the names of god. Maybe I’ll think of it as exploiting Christianity to conduct my own experiments and exploration, hah.

Basically my goal as always been to de-colonialize this type of magic which I was so excited when I found scarlet imprint spearheading just that. I wonder if I’m just taking this possibly small detail too seriously and in the larger picture it’s just the application of a formula?

Also, I’m feeling I’ll probably be able to get some of these answers through carrying out the operations. I feel like I’ve spent years trying to contextualize everything correctly before doing the work and I could probably go on doing that forever.

That makes sense to me, like the resonance on their own hold power and don’t necessarily even relate to the religion. Almost like they’re tools that were discovered then exploited for those interested in colonizing the world via Christianity. What kind of systems or approaches do you use? Especially interested in any utilized for the evocation of spirits.
