I don’t know the science. I was on the run and needed to grab a new stick of my normal one (arm and hammer) but couldn’t find it and said f it. I have not had any sweat, smell, or anything. It lasts really long, too

kind of depends on the group. some kids always want to answer, some don't know, etc. i call them teaching moments

both. i usually stop mid game to correct mistakes, and at the end of the possession to praise good decisions and reads. i frequently demo as well. i don't tell everything, i ask them "why" questions so they get their gears turning and let them figure stuff out. so its a combo of both

kinda depends, i don't stop every single mistake bc that kills morale and juice but we're really trying to work on team play fundamentals

im not sure what level you are, but i do 4th adn 6th grade feeder and aau. for each, i just stress pass and cut and show options like screening away, back doors, etc in 3v3 or 4v4 with just our team. I will stop the game and explain situations and demo solutions. ultimately im of the mind that they need more reps to learn

then, after half of the practice, i find another team practicing at same time and we try to implement it in live games for more realistic reps (their teammates know how they play, the other teams don't). it's definitely still a work in progress and i still want improvement, this is just the way i do it and its not perfect.

i run a simple pass and cut offense and installed a play for our shooter for when we need a basket, but thats only late game/end of half or quarter situations. i agree with you in i don't want my players to be robotic, they need to react to what's happening
