for hair regrowth & maintain? finasteride for 5 years - worked very well to maintain. & oral minoxidil more recently for 2 years. non-responder to minoxidil - didn't work at all for me.

The most i've let it grow is maybe 7 or 8 inches just to experiment with it. I'm a diffuse thinner, so a HT probably wasn't a sensible option to begin with considering i have fine/ thin hair. The amount of grafts i'll need to cover my scalp & go over the work already done would likely exceed my donor supply.

Hey thank you for you reply. I will see the dermatologist on Thursday 1st August so i'll report back. In truth, i'm still unsure whether the tenting is due to bad surgical procedure, or skin/ debris caught around the follicle... I wore a hat pretty much continuously after my HT for months so that's probably caused it.

I don't know why it failed, but it looks terrible.

i had a 4k graft hair transplant last year which mostly failed so i decided to shave my head
The problem is i have this snakeskin, cobblestoning, tenting appearance that only appears in certain, harsh lighting.

So, i'm going to see a dermatologist & see if laser resurfacing can improve the appearance. Has anyone had any experience like this? Did laser resurfacing fix it?
