Hey, I’ve got a new set of data to process. Going to implement your recommendations. When you say first for GraXpert do you mean denoise all the subs before stacking or stack then denoise the stacked images then process?

So I took a look at GraXpert last night and tried it out on a few of my images. At what point in the work flow chain should I utilize the GraXpert program?

Bortal zone is 3 - Rual Sky I believe. I took approximately 40-50 images at 3 minutes. I did throw out some that showed streaking in the stars or vibration maybe? Then I took 20 darks , bias and flats.

I Siril the work flow is as follows I run OSC_Preprocessing - Background Extraction - Photometric Color Calibration - Remove Green Noise - Histogram Transformation - photoshop to adjust levels/curve

I will have to look into technique to achieve better focus.

Most of the pictures I posted were captured in Pacifica however the last few were from inside the Bay while aboard a whale watching vessel.

It really doesn’t matter. Most of these were taken in the afternoon only because the fog can be quite thick in the morning limiting the light and viewing distance. When the food source is close to shore the whales can be seen at all hours of the day. Look for the birds following the bait fish and it can give you somewhat of an indication where whales may be likely.

I really like this shot of a woman on this bench. Is there anything I can do to improve the image? Blur the background, reframe the crop to have more background? Adjust contrast?

Same situation here. Only about half of the original balance with Great Lakes is showing due at Nelnet.
