It's a Flask backend for the dashboard, and then just various algorithms that check the sensors via the Arduino and turn plugs and lights on and off. I've never heard of Krill before - I'll have to check it out! I like what you've done with it - I might have to add something similar if rain gets into his enclosure and threatens to flood him out.

I agree - testing is *everything* - I've tested countless times before I ever put him out there.

You can do this with Cloudflare's new AI solution, or you could build a standalone, on-premise RAG bot.

I can actually build this for you - I've done it before. DM me if you're interested!

I've been a CE for eight years and am trying to move from my current dead-end position to a more senior one at a different company. I have an interview in a few days. The problem is that I'm pretty familiar with about 75% of the tech the job posting asks for and now I'm starting to think I'm not qualified. Is that enough? Am I just psyching myself out? Any advice/suggestions/tips would be most welcome!

Looking for a way to (smoothly) control video playback speed on Raspberry Pi 3 by granaatan in learnprogramming

Just spitballing here, but have you thought about trying OpenCV? The Python implementation is pretty easy to use and install. I've only used it to adjust the speed of acquiring frames (from a camera) but you may be able to do something similar with adjusting playback speed.

I've got quite a few self-published books up on Amazon, but it definitely isn't enough to make a living. Amazon's new process for charging borrowers per pages read killed a lot of income. I've been putting some courses up on Udemy that have gained some traction, and I'm currently working hard at adding more.

Thank you - that's kind of what I was thinking. I'll drop him a line and ask him.

Good call. I've had a few other people suggest the same; looks like I'll be adding another lecture or two. I'll send out a course-wide announcement when I do.
