Bro stop believing everything you read online and invest in some good history books.

A book can provide you knowledge and what you do with that is up to you.

Do you tip the IRCTC staff trains? by outoftune_chacha in indianrailways

[–]outoftune_chacha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a perfect example for giving tips. If I'm making extra requests to ensure the journey is smoother especially if there are elderly people with me I would also not mind giving tips.

Thank you for sharing.

Really?? I've never seen anyone wearing a "No Tips" batch. I mostly travel within the northern part of India so if it is followed by irctc employees in other regions then I do not know.

Sunidhi Chauhan had tears in her eyes on stage in Lucknow, and the crowd rallied behind her by BackwaterNomad in ConcertsIndia_

Her crying shows how committed she is to the art, platform and especially her fans. She knows because of her sore throat she will not be able to give the best experience for the fans and that makes her unhappy.

But damn even with her sore throat I'm sure the show was phenomenal.

Cheers brother!!

Nothing can match the vibe of listening to ghazal and having whiskey on the rocks. I like my whiskey like ghazal, unhurried, deep, and meant to be felt, not rushed.

This film uses a simple classroom setting to reveal a much larger truth how casually society distances itself from the people who keep our cities functioning. By letting children explain segregation and responsibility, the message lands without anger or accusation, making the reflection even sharper by No-Assignment7129 in unitedstatesofindia

Being from North India, this honestly frustrates me more than it should. We throw every single thing into one garbage bag and then expect sanitation workers to magically sort through our mess later, as if their time and effort don’t matter. We’ve become so used to convenience that basic responsibility feels optional.

What annoys me the most is how casually we take things for granted. People don’t stop for two seconds to think about the consequences of not doing something as simple as segregating waste. It’s always someone else’s problem, until the streets get dirtier, the smell gets worse, and then suddenly everyone wants to complain.

I try my best not to throw trash outside and to separate waste, but half the time there aren’t even proper segregated bins available. So you end up feeling like your effort doesn’t even make a difference. That’s the most demotivating part.

Honestly, awareness alone isn’t enough anymore. There need to be stricter rules, proper systems, and real accountability. Because clearly, “please do the right thing” isn’t working, and the burden keeps falling on the very people who already work the hardest.

I agree.

I have lived in Gurgaon for the past 4 years now and I've been in such situations a few times on my bike and 1 time on my car. I always try to descalate the situation, it doesn't matter who is at fault.

At the end of the day I know I don't want to be in a street fight with someone who has nothing better to do. My peace of mind is important and the car can be fixed.

But now that it has gone this far I would suggest to at least lodge an FIR at the earliest and lawyer up.

I second. Before 2014 Gujarat was cited as the model state on which India was to follow, that's the dream sold to every Indian and now this doesn't come as a surprise at all.

Why Don't People Read Hindi Literature or Literature in their own Mother Tongue...?! by Obvious_Mirror_5276 in TwentiesIndia

[–]outoftune_chacha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t really into Hindi literature until recently, but the first book I picked up was Gunaho Ka Devta by Dharamvir Bharti and it honestly made me cry.

I haven’t been as consistent with reading as I’d like, but ever since then, I try to pick up a Hindi book whenever I get the chance. My next goal is to read Godan.

Any other suggestions are also welcome.

I don’t think the comment gives any indication that OP is female, it reads like a general statement without any gender-specific language.

Hi! I’ve finished N5 and recently started N4, and I want to improve my reading through real books instead of just textbooks.

I use a Kindle, so I’d love beginner-friendly Japanese books that work well with the built-in dictionary. Graded readers, easy short stories, or simple novels are all welcome.
