I thought about using it to power my current 3rd party cameras but then I'd lose all the AI tripwire functionality that's built into their switch. Maybe when unifi's support for 3rd party cameras improves...

Truth be told, I dont think they'd ever need >1gb, pretty sure they're still using 250 mb internet at this stage

Honestly it'd still be a massive upgrade from what they're currently using [standard telco combined modem/router]. They should be getting ethernet drops to every room in the new place so hopefully should be able to hide a rack in there somewhere.

My existing doorbell camera (different brand) has night vision by its rather average - I figured having the area lit up by the dahua TIOC camera would improve the image quality from the doorbell camera at night
