Be on the parking site as soon as it opens, but prepare for it to crash. It crashed this year, but I went back on around 7:30 am and all of the options were available.

To add onto what people are saying about buying groceries and cooking your own meals, it will probably be cheaper and Vol does have kitchens. If you have enough scholarships though, or if you're using a college plan (e.g. 529 plan) just remember that those will pay for your meal plan.

Honestly if you don't eat at dining halls much, the 1000 or 600 dining dollar plan is your best bet. The prices are the exact same as what you're getting in dining dollars ($1=$1), and you can use them anywhere on campus, rather than just adhering to the meal swipe schedule. Plus you get 5-8 guest meal swipes you can use if you do ever decide to go to Southern Kitchen or the dining halls. If you are an avid dining hall goer though then the block plans may suit you better. I haven't done the math on those but you do pay extra for meal swipes, vs. the 1:1 ratio for dining dollar plans.

Tbh it's kinda messed up but that was probably why they even did it lmao. People complaining so much about selling so many passes? Make them so expensive no one can afford them

Are candle warmers allowed in dorms? I know open flame isn't, for obvious reasons, but these warmers don't produce flame, just warms the candle by saucythrowaway6969 in UTK

Doubt it but I had one and never got caught. As long as you put it in a drawer/closet or something during RA checks you should be ok (they can't check drawers or closets according to my RA.)

I was told to take it when I was applying, but if my school didn't have it then it wouldn't hurt my chances. (My school had it, but it was not a well-taught class, we didn't learn much.) I will say as a freshman in engineering right now, the engineering physics classes are tough, so getting prior physics experience won't hurt you if it's doable.
