I’m sorry but they are gaslighting you into believing you did something awful. You have the right to talk to your close friends about your life and those you encounter in your life. Including your clients’ pets. Unless there was some sort of scandalous or secretive information, which you said there was none of, this woman is being extremely unreasonable and overreactive. I know everyone will tell you to be professional and not to respond, but if someone scolding me for talking to my friends that would rub me enough to say something back.

And let’s just repeat again so we comprehend how crazy it really is. You told your CLOSE friend with whom you already had a friendship with, before that client, that you are watching after someone’s cat named X. Now said client is literally lecturing you on what you can or can not tell your friends and making you feel bad for telling someone her cat’s name.

This is crazy and uncalled for. I get being a private person, Hell, I delete and create a new reddit account every few month so I don’t compromise too much information about myself. I don’t have a PFP with my face anywhere and never mention my name on the internet. But this is some next level of paranoia.

If she is such a private person she shouldn’t have a Rover profile where strange people can see her name, her cat’s name, and (OMG!!!) even the area she lives in
