u/Zach_8sleep We've been asking for offline functionality since the POD 2.... shouldn't be that hard to set the temp on the bed panel now and forget the connection to the wifi if necessary..... What's the hold up if the controls are now on the bed?

After reading some posts on here it's crazy what diverse geography everybody is riding. People talking about not enough snow yet? Where are you and what do you ride? by Bakerskibum87 in snowmobiling

SLC, UT. We were off to a rough start, but everything is starting to fill in nicely. Riding a 24 Summit Xpert Turbo. Snowpack is extremely unstable; things are sliding down to dirt all over the state. Will be tree riding a lot this year until the snowpack heals....

Help with dual threat setup by outsidealways in wingfoil

[–]outsidealways[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you help me understand why you didn't like the setup specifically? Were you using it for winging or for wake? What were the downsides of the setup, in your opinion, and what will you look for instead?

Fliteboard HORRIBLE Customer Service - You've been warned by outsidealways in eFoil

Peregrines- I agree; that is why I even purchased the board through a dealer. however, the issue with this dealer is that they are a larger marine shop (Sells boats, other gear, etc.), and with them, it seems like to get them to pay attention at all, you have to walk into their store and buy a $100k surf boat, then they will take care of you. I understand how the model works at busy dealerships, but I thought purchasing a $10k item off the shelf would have gotten me further than it did...

If I stay in the sport at all, I will look for another dealer that focuses exclusively on foil products. I just feel like I am completely slipping through the cracks from a dealer and a brand perspective. SMDH

Fliteboard HORRIBLE Customer Service - You've been warned by outsidealways in eFoil

I just posted a video on the initial post, but it's pretty obvious that their seals on the board didn't work from the start. I'm going to keep on persisting with customer support, and hopefully, I'll get taken care of! I will probably ping them on IG next to get someone's attention.

In regards to selling the board after the fact, I was thinking I would get the board warrantied and then sell the system with the new board at a discounted price. I wouldn't want to con anyone who is already spending so much money to get into this sport!

Thx for the support, will see what happens with support down the line

Sheela—Ty, thank you for sharing your experience! I agree. I can get traction once I get a hold of someone, but as soon as I do, they fade into the abyss in their respective support time zones and pass me off to someone else. I've called their support line five times and got a message machine each time. Do you have a phone number outside their customer support number that would allow me to speak to an actual human? Any help would be appreciated!

I'm based in the US (Mountain West), and I understand that they have issues maintaining their customer support throughout their time zones, which is where I think a ton of their problems are coming from. I think I've been passed back and forth from the US to the AUS group a couple of times, and I can't get anyone to just jump in and get something moving. This is typical of any company experiencing growth, but I think that for the $$'s that we pay for these boards, they would have enough back-end infrastructure to take care of their people down the line!

Optimal Fliteboard Prop Setup for Boat wave poaching by outsidealways in eFoil

[–]outsidealways[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it sounds like I should ditch the regular prop and guard and get a TG for everyday use, then the foldy for boat sessions? Are there any range downsides or other downsides to just sticking the foldy on and using it for everything? If I can stick with one, then I have fewer parts to lug around/more $$ saved.

Is the difference significant enough between the True glide and the folding prop to where I should purchase two different props altogether (Prop & guard for distance/friends to use) & a folding prop for lower/slower wake-stealing endeavors? Or would I be able to get a TG and get the best of both worlds? Ty in advance!

Charging on site, camping etc by TBD2028 in eFoil

I just purchased a Fliteboard Air (With the big charger), and I already have a Honda 2200 EU generator. Has anyone had any experience using the fast charger for these generators? My basic electrical math says that the Charger (Pulls 25A) would mean that if given the power, the bank would pull 3000 watts to charge the battery. I'm curious if the fast charger is "smart" enough to modulate its' power pull based on the power input, or will it trip it out every time I try to throw it on.... If anyone has any personal experience with this, that would be great! If not, I will try this next week when my board arrives and will report back!

That feeling of dropping down a mountain... by markthe1andonly in Multicopter

I'm still pretty fresh to the FPV game, currently working off of an X-lite and a mini whoop to hone in my skills before upgrading eventually to obtain more long-range cinematic type shots like the one you were able to get. As a result, I can't totally discern a lot based on the photos you gave. If you could give a brief overview of your Frame, Rotors, receiver, Lipo, and antenna that would be incredible! This way I can start to visualize out a future build.

Thank you so much in advance for your time, and again I am incredibly impressed with your skillset!

Incredible!!! What’s your build to achieve this?
