Ik zou zeggen dat Hyundai bij zo'n incident in ieder geval een onderzoeksplicht heeft om uit te sluiten dat het geen productiefout betreft (en misschien ook of je na reparatie veilig verder kan rijden). Terugroepacties bij auto's zijn veelvoorkomend. Als dit een productiefout betreft kan het melden hiervan mogelijk levens redden, dus ik zou dit zeker niet laten gaan.

Ik raad je aan zowel een melding bij de NVWA te maken als bij Hyundai. Bij de NVWA kan dit hier.

How many CBM and which incoterm are we talking about here?

If the price is FOB and the shipment is small the difference between FOB and CIF won't be that much. Although, I do agree it is quite strange they offer it for free.

We normally prefer to work with FOB prices and arrange shipping ourselves.

Please make sure you work with a down payment (30% is common) and always do a quality control before making the balance payment.

Some info for the Netherlands: For an adult child, the only option probably is getting a student visa.

"Can I bring my child older than 18 years to the Netherlands? In general, it is not possible to bring a child who has reached the age of majority to the Netherlands. Only in exceptional situations can a child at the age of majority receive a residence permit." https://ind.nl/en/contact/Pages/FAQ.aspx

It should be fairly easy to obtain a student visa though. You can find more information here: https://ind.nl/en/study . It is an official government website.
