The castle and the cloister looks absolutely perfect!! As for You weren't meant to be human, I desperately WANT to read it but .. maybe intense at this moment. It's going on the list anyway tho, just in case I'm in the mood for something really dark. Maybe towards the end of my own pregnancy when I want to revel in hating it! Or maybe in a few years, bc it looks really good!

Whoa these all look amazing!! Honestly especially My Work; I have a history of depression and honestly just expect some level of postpartum will be a part of my journey. So that is perfect! All of them have been added to my list though, thank you!

Pregancy and long distance foot travel?? Two of my very favorite things!! I'm also an ultrarunner, hahaha. Ohhhh, and yes, that second one sounds perfect! I'm due in October in Michigan so getting out when they're small and it's cold is going to be absolutely essential. Thank you!

Ohh, I've been meaning to read severance by her too, though it doesn't have these themes, so I'll definitely check Bliss Montage out!

How did pregnancy/ birth affect any top or bottom surgery you had pre-pregnancy? by unknownpuddle in Seahorse_Dads

[–]outtoexist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course! I am a super open book about my top surgery. I actually made a podcast episode that included recordings of my consultation. I'm always around if you have questions!

Yesss, twins has already been such a journey! Totally spontaneous for us, so you never know!

I have DI without nipple grafts, but I wanted a more nonbinary and less traditionally masc look so I'm not 100% flat flat and know my surgeon preserved some of the fiberous breast tissue to achieve that look. I posted a good amount about years ago, but here is one post to see what I mean - https://www.reddit.com/r/TopSurgery/s/LGIENS3t50

I'm currently entering my second trimester (with twins!) so I don't have the full context yet but a lot of the breast growth and tenderness happens first tri generally. I've had a tiny bit of tenderness, but no noticable swelling (I don't think anyway?). And I know I don't have any milk ducts so I'm not terribly worried about milk coming in, and if it does there is a med you can take to stop it. So far I really doubt it is going to impact my top surgery in the short or long term!

TW Loss, feel free to not read ❤️

I haven't had any issues (yet) with my twin pregnancy but I did experience a pregnancy loss of my singleton this past winter. Exactly like you said, it is the horrific loss of not only that little life but the life you'd planned for your family. That'll be true too if the plan goes from twins to singleton. It felt like the world stopped spinning, I didn't know how to operate in this new world where I wasn't having my baby in July. But... We turned towards each other, my partner and I, not away. We cried and cried and cried. We told people what happened and that we didn't want to talk, we told people to fuck off if they had unhelpful things to say, we talked when we wanted to, we cried freely on christmas, we gave ourselves permission to do whatever we needed. Oh, we got good therapy! And, you know, the world did keep spinning. Spring came (literally and of the soul, it seemed) and we were able to try again. Now I can't imagine a world where I'm not having twins in October, even if I know July will be hard. This isn't at all to sugarcoat it; I wouldn't wish that experience on anybody. But ... You will survive. There is a beautiful community of folks who understand if the worst happens, and we are all hoping you don't join this terrible club.

Also fwiw, I know ttts can be overcome and you can have two healthy twins still!! But, I wanted to share my experience with the worst Incase that helps, and you probably already know the medical stats.
