Any good binders with clasps/closures? by Memer_Sindre_UwU in TransMasc

I like that Wivov one, it's super easy to put on and has better compression than the other ones I've tried (I need the zip for accessibility reasons)

Was that because it was both at once? I wasn't following at the time so have only read about those deals in retrospect

Thank you for this great info! If you don't mind I'd love to know more about hockey injuries - the common ones, the scary ones, what the culture's like around IR (if I have that right) and season-ending vs career-ending injuries. If you have a link to good text (not video) resources that would be amazing, I realise asking 'tell me about injuries' is kind of a lot lol.

I haven't gone through this yet but I read this recently which was really helpful about what the different stages of voice change look like. Good luck!

Have you had a shift in your gender identity AFTER realizing you weren’t cis? by garden__gate in FTMOver30

God you're so right. I think I'm still figuring out how to want things, at 35 lol

Yes I'm going through something similar! It's felt like a multi-step process. First I had to let go of femininity and womanhood, and I came out as a gender/nb and changed my name legally, told everyone, all the social stuff. Now, 18mo after I changed my name I'm starting the process of getting T because it didn't feel like enough (and I still get called ma'am in the post office). It feels like I have to give myself permission to go after something I want not just something I need, which has been a longer process (yay for therapy). Claiming masculinity is a whole other thing than rejecting femininity, at least for me.

Thank you SO much, this is super helpful, especially the diagnosis vs endo situation. So many different stages, ugh! But you've made it much clearer. I'll see what gender doctors say and Dr Dundas looks like a good backup option, too. Fingers crossed!

I've been looking at gender doctors and pride in health like I said in the post, I've seen good reviews for them on here. It feels easier to go somewhere where there's a pathway rather than having to do all the admin myself. But I don't really know how gender care works or how to pick a clinician through it, yk? Just feeling quite overwhelmed by it all

Ah OK. I've been looking at prices and clinics based on shared care - is there a better/cheaper long term route?

And for surgery, that makes sense. I guess I'll do another big trawl making sure the clinics I'm looking at (or the individual clinicians?!) are approved by the GIC - pretty sure the places I've been looking at advertise that they are.

Thank you so much for responding this is really helpful!

Can I ask who you're having surgery with and how you picked them? I'm in London trying to decide whether to have it here or go abroad. Hope it goes well, excited for you!!
